B&B Bella Vista

My mate and I had a great time at B&B Bella vista where we spend two nights this Septembre. The owner, Gigi, is a great host. Together with Giulio, his adorable dog, they make quite a team! What I mostly enjoyed was the proximity, the owner is always available and more than happy to give advice on where to go eat or discover in the whereabouts. He mades us feel very much at ease, the rooms were very neat and the village is only a few minutes away by foot. Ideal for anyone who wants to stay a few days close to the Cala Gonone. 

I would definitely recommend B&B Bella Vista to anyone who wants to discover Sardinia in an authentic way. Thanks again Gigi for this very pleasant stay!

2 days in Dorgai @ Gigi's

The Bella Vista name is not usurpated, the view from the terrace is very nice. The place is located at the top of Dorgali thus very quiet. Beside of that the lodging is very basic. Be carefull when going there, GPS leads you through very small streets in the city. You should remain on main roads.

Basic B&B with very nice view

I visited 50 different countries, stayed in guest houses, hostels, couch surfing, luxury resorts...  And this one has been by far, the worst accommodation where I've ever stayed in. 

First of all, this is not a traditional B&B. This is a two bedroom house with a terrace and a shared bathroom + the owner who sleeps in the kitchen with his dog.

The room itself was awkward. I guess the furniture is from his grandmother's house. Everything looks old, dark and even dirty. The towels (see picture included) were old beach towels. The shared bathroom is also old and dirty. Better that you bring your own shampoo and shower gel and definitely use flip-flops in the shower.

But this is not the worst thing. The owner who tries too hard to be helpful but is at all times invasive and out of place. 

He kept on knocking on the door to shout things like: "guys have you already taken a shower", "can you please tell me your address" or "here are your passports". We felt lack of privacy. 

Also we did not enjoy the only good thing about this place: the terrace and the view. The first day we had breakfast here (don't expect big things from the breakfast..) the guy kept on talking to us. When he realized we wanted to be chilled he started making phone calls next to us 🤦🏻‍♂️

The second day, he woke us up with loud music coming from the kitchen... We couldn't wait to check out so we left the house as quick as we could and had breakfast in a bar in the town. 

Last but not least he was super pushy: guys please leave a good review. Don't forget to leave a review...

So here it is: 120€/2 nights. Lack of privacy. Old. Dirty. Intrusive. Cash only and no invoice.
