1 reviewWe were 2 'mature' females. We stayed 4 nights. The apartment was spotlessly clean, very quirky in design, VERY comfortable, well provisioned (tea, coffee,etc). Antonio and Alessandro, our hosts were charming with excellent English. Very helpful. The location is close to both the bus and train stations and with easy access to the city. Good supermarket nearby. Don't be put off by the location. It is in an old part of the city which is being restored. Excellent places to eat nearby - not fancy but good food and used by locals. The apartment is on the 3rd floor and has an internal spiral staircase - so a certain degree of mobility is required. 2 large bedrooms with balconies, bathroom with washing machine, kitchen, living area and AC in both bedrooms. Lots of beautiful architecture in the city, the fish market is a must. It is easy and cheap to get a bus from the station to Mnt Etna - leaves at 08.15 and returns at 16.15. Unfortunately the day we chose to go was the only day that it turned cloudy and rained!
