The Hotel really feels like a hermitage. I loved the exterior of the building. The hotel is walking distance from the main bus stop and other places of interest. The room was clean and cozy, the view from my room was breath taking. I would highly recommend this hotel for those wanting their peace and quiet to bathe in the spiritual energy of Assisi.

Cozy, Clean, Comfortable rooms in a Castle like building

I was most impressed with the responsiveness I received when booking this hotel with the Gabry, the owner. She even sent a follow up confirmation email, which was above & beyond what we expected. Assisi is on a hillside, STEPS / STAIRS & HILLS ARE INEVITABLE, prepare for this as the approach to the hotel with luggage can be grueling without assistance, our taxi driver was very helpful. The hotel rooms were small but with full amenities & a large bathroom. Just a short 5 min walk to Basilica & 10 min to center of town with plenty of great food recommendations. Gabry was very helpful in suggesting restaurants & ways to approach our jam packed itinerary in the short time we had, it was a perfect stay & would highly suggest Hermitage for the service, the location & value!! thank you!

great location: Great attention from owner/Staff makes the difference

I was woken only by birdsong it was so quiet.  Our room was on the small side but it contained everything that you might desire, although I imagine that my wishes are very different from your own.  The bathroom was very clean and tidy with plenty of towels provided.  

We had fresh brioche every day and our table was set every morning,  it made me wonder if we were the only guests as we were not disturbed by anyone else. 

It is close to all the sights of Assisi... A warning though, make sure that you bring a good map, if it hadn't been for the lovely local man who stopped and pointed me in the right direction I'm not sure that I would have found the hotel. However, that is what Assisi is like,  tiny streets,  little alleys of steps and beautiful countryside. 

In general about Assisi,  if you want quiet then come in July, midweek otherwise expect many pilgrims and for it to be very busy.

Wonderful location and hospitality

This hotel is a little gem! It's located just a short 5 minute walk to the main piazza, Piazza Del Comune. The hotel is very clean, rooms are good sized and the views to the valley are absolutely beautiful. Wi-fi is good, too. The owner, Gabriella, is also very sweet and gives you great tips for restaurants and must-sees. Will definitely return!

Hotel Hermitage's greatest asset is its owner, Gabriella. The hotel offers great value as a comfortable place to stay, slap bang in the middle of this beautiful ancient city. Gabriella, with unlimited knowledge of the city and surrounds, can plan your visit to make it a memorable holiday.

Great Value, Great Location

This hotel is no more than average in quality. It is clean and personnel are kind. The rooms are small and there is no room for comfortable seating apart from the bed. It is a pity as the best thing of my room was the view that I could not enjoy from the bed. Beds were functional and covers rather cold. Breakfast was dismal. I would not go back.
