Wonderful experience. Loved the renovated bathroom with heated floor. Beautiful place, clean, quiet, nice people. Easy to get a shuttle for Bolzano. 

The village is adorable. Great views on all sides. Excellent breakfast.

Some people wouldn’t like the room décor because it is very bare- very plain actually, but for me it helped me focus on the view! (see photos I posted) The view out window is of birds, trees, hills, a castle on top of hill, apple orchards, grapes vineyards, farmhouses in distance. It is set up like a little apartment.  Inside were white cabinets and a light wood floor. The kitchen had hot plate, coffee maker, glasses, mugs, plates, silverware. Nice small patio with sliding door that can also prop open like a large window. The bed was the bottom sheet and two separate comforters-no top sheet. The bed was fairly firm. They had two down pillows. There were individual lights on each side of the bed-nice lights that don’t light up the whole room. The bathroom was also sparse but fine. Two toilets (why?), a sink, and a shower made from rock but without a door.  We tried hard to keep the water within the shower area. Very quiet room and quiet outside. I could hear the neighbors in their bathroom but it was very muted. There was a TV we didn’t watch and a telephone. Great walking trails right out the door; a forest path that leads a parks, playground, soccer, fields, ice skating rink, streams, a school with huge pool, and eventually, to town. Restaurants and a grocery store very close by. Breakfast here yummy- plenty of vegan options. Delicious hearty bread, homemade jams, fresh fruit- the apples were especially excellent- meats and other dishes. Good coffee.

EXCELLENT alternative to staying in Bozen square... STAY HERE!

We stayed for one night, arriving mid morning. The rooms were ready so we were able to check in. The innkeeper told us about hiking to a nearby castle. It was a very beautiful hike up to the castle with some steep, rocky parts. Hiking boots and sticks were beneficial. The castle served food and drinks. We brought a picnic lunch and bought roasted chestnuts. We ate in local restaurant  for dinner which was pretty average but we could walk from Pension in minutes. The breakfast buffet was plentiful and good. The innkeeper baked a delicious cake. Cereal, breads, fresh cut fruit, yogurt, cheeses and meats and delicious jams. Rooms were large and clean with balconies. It was a very nice stop.

Friendly and comfortable

I would recommend the hotel, as the rooms are very comfortable and spacious. We stayed in a self contained studio type of room, with a kitchen, dining table and a large balcony. The rooms are modern and clean, and the same goes for the bathroom. Views from the hotel are nice, it is set in between some hills in the middle of apple groves. In the distance you can see the higher peaks of the Dolomites.  Breakfast is okay, nothing fancy but good: some types of bread, cake, fruit, yoghurt, cereals, coffee, tea, cheese, meat and jam. I have not used the swimming pool, but it is available for those are looking for it. 
The family that owns the hotel does also run the hotel. They were very friendly and helped us by recommending some really nice hikes in the mountains that were well worth it.
Andriano as a village has not got that much too it, so it helps if you have your own wheels to make day trips.  It is easy to cycle to Bolzano along the river (please ask for directions in the hotel), all other roads are too hilly for a leisurely bike ride (and therefore more suitable for those who like to race or to go off road)
