It’s up 7 flights of stairs!

Yes the location is nice, but it’s a half mile walk from the nearest car park, all up hill, then some more steps to get up the street to the door and then 7 flights of stairs to get to the first bedroom. Oh and the keys are kept up another flight of stairs and breakfast is up another flight of stairs!

If they just mentioned this then people in their 60s with a suitcase would book elsewhere. Not mentioning it is unacceptable and it’s about time Trip Advisor checked the comments and made hoteliers be more honest.

Room is ok, but bathroom dirty with cracked toilet seat and tiny shower from the 1930s.

Location is great for seeing the nightlife of Agrimento.

So in summary, if you are young and full of energy then this is a cheap option, but if you are not and have a heart condition this may cost you your life.

It’s up 7 flights of stairs!

My boyfriend and I spent 3 days in this b&b that turned out to be the best of our vacation in Sicily. Clean and spacious room with everything necessary, excellent location to reach the center (it is just a few steps from the main road), probably a little more uncomfortable for those arriving by car, we arrived at Agrigento by train and the station is not very far away, you just have to take into account that there are a few stairs to do! The best thing is the hospitality of the owners, really kind and available.

Unfortunately we were very disappointed in almost everything. I assumed we went in January and that we were probably the only guests at the facility. But there were so many things that disappointed us deeply. The room was very, very cold when we arrived and we couldn't turn on the thermos or have a stove. The room and the bathroom were really so much dated in the furnishings. The terrace was very old and left in the weather. The breakfast was served by the owner of the facility but the cakes and the food presented were really low quality. and my companion was going around the world, so we didn't have a comment that relates to our claimed experience.

Not in low season

PRO: - 3 minutes walk from the main street of the historic center - superb breakfast - courtesy of the staff - 30 minutes by car from the Turkish staircase and min from the Valley of the Temples CONTRO: - we have to park at a parking lot about 5 minutes away, and to carry my luggage upstairs I literally killed myself, also because the b & b is without an elevator. - having no insured parking, the evening on the way back from Valley of the Temples, considering the influx of people to the historic center, it was a mess to find parking.

Discrete solution

An excellent stay in the heart of Agrigento, with views of the city and the sea. An excellent, varied (salted and sweet) and abundant breakfast, homemade. A large, bright and overlooked room.

A five-star B&B.

Placed at one aunthentic and picturesque streets of the ancient quartier, but just a minute walking from via Atenea (one of the main commercial streets), B&B Batara is the perfect location to stay in Agrigento. A beautiful and tastefully restored building with history, that offered us a very comfortable, wide and warm room. Great brakfast as well!

We will definatelly come back

B&B Batarà is located in a very central position with the car park 5 minutes away, my room was very large and furnished with taste, really excellent cleaning as rarely happened to me. Breakfast is also extraordinary for the Sicilian levels that are already extraordinary in the beginning. The owners are very kind and friendly. Last note, a great attention to the covid safety standards. I was only one night as a point of support to visit the valley of temples but Agrigento deserves a few more days!

It's all right!

Great location very close to the center, rooms very clean and comfortable. Breakfast beyond expectations, with typical but above all homemade products even croissants!! 😍😍😍😍😍. The owners are very kind and very available. I highly recommend it!!!

Two days to remember

The experience begins with a Whatsapp message with which the owner tells us where to park the car, how to find the B&B and where to find the room keys. Owner, very kind, that we will only see the morning of departure. The room is clean, with lots of welcome chocolate and terrace on the alley of the historic center of Agrigento. The structure is in fact in the center and you can walk to all the restaurants in the area. Breakfast is served with homemade products in a beautiful terrace on the last floor of the stable that, alas, has no elevator (but a little movement never hurts).

I would recommend it.

We stayed 3 nights in this beautiful B & B where we found a very large, very clean family room with all the comforts.
