Dromin Farmhouse

At Dromin House, you’ll feel like home. It is a nice and warm house. Joan, the tenant, generously offers breakfast, the most delicious and garnished breakfast I have ever had in Ireland (south west at least): eggs, baked beans, orange juice, milk, tea, coffee, four types of cereals, yogurt, fruits... the list is long. 
The place is sparkling clean, with a big kitchen that contains everything you may need (we have even cooked an Irish stew at her place). 
The bedroom is very cozy and clean, with the view on the National Park Mountains. 
It’s a great quality-price ratio. 
It’s also very convenient for families. 

Joan is very nice and even took some of her time to provide us with local tips. 

The place itself is 5 minutes drive away form Killarney National Park but you feel like you’re in the middle of nowhere as the place is a former farm.

I've been in this B&B for 3 nights with my girlfriend, we really enjoyed our stay!
The woman who owns the house was friendly and helped us to find the best solution for our necessities. We've booked a family house but she told us that we could save some money by taking a double room.

Here you can find the services of a hotel with the warm of a B& B, the irish breakfast was delightful and so the cleaning and the kitchen that we used for our dinner.
We highly recommend this place ad we're looking forward to come back!



I spent 4 nights here.  Great location with a pub nearby (3 minute drive) and very convenient for the Kerry and Dingle peninsulas.  I was climbing in the Reeks and the self-service breakfast was perfect for me since I could get up quite early and eat breakfast.  On the 2 days when I wasn't climbing, Joan was kind enough to cook me a breakfast at nearby Douglasha House B&B.  Comfortable bed.  Large rooms.  Quiet.

Booked here on the day and had a very good stay. Big light rooms with a bathroom. Joan was really friendly and helpful. Good location not far from killarney. Would recommend. Nice views, quiet and peaceful environment!

We spent 2 nights at Dromin House in a large family room.  The room handled 5 of us, 2 adults and 3 girls in their twenties, without feeling crowded.  The common area was great and the kitchen a welcome option in the morning. Joan had bread, eggs, cereals and other breakfast items available for us to fix on our own.  There were other guests at the house but we all had plenty of room.  The house is close to a pub and a very easy drive into Killarney for restaurants or other activities.  We used it as a base to see the area and the Dingle Peninsula.  Joan is very accommodating and easy to communicate with.  Would definitely stay again.

Sharing with other guests. The kitchen is only designed for one family to cook at a time. Wifi kept on resetting itself. Other guests not exactly friendly (though that isn't the property's fault). Very difficult to find; instructions were sent but on the day so not received in time. Quite remote. Photos indicated a wonderful view - you can get that view if you walk and/or go into the neighbour's property. We certainly didn't see it.

View is misleading but friendly staff

They have 3 houses in the same area but not within walking distance. No one was at the house. Fortunately, the husband drove by after a few minutes. They wanted us to change which house we would stay even though there was an open room in the house we were booked at.

The property has junk all over it. I equate it to a college dorm house. Rusted swingset, hadn't seen a weedeater in months, construction scraps were strewn about, etc.

The sitting rooms have too much furniture in them. 

You have to cook your own breakfast so make sure you get to the kitchen first.

Apparently, we had the 'Honeymoon' suite. Mostly pink with a heart covered bedspread. The mirror in the bathroom was small and heart-shaped. You could barely use it to brush your teeth much less anything else.

The wife is loud and a bit rude. I was lying on the couch with my eyes closed and she came in and started talking to my wife at max volume. Saw I was lying there, even made a comment recognizing I was, and went right back to max volume.

The internet connection was horrible. We had to go to the dayroom to connect.
