i booked two nights at the Cherry Tree, bit due to the horrible weather we only stayed the single night, which was no problem to the gentleman we spoke to, on arrival, we rang the bell, got no reply and rang a number which was posted on the entrance to the house, a gentleman then answered the door, and even took our bags upstairs, we got a room facing the road, it was an average sized room, but had everything we needed, please take note, BRING YOUR OWN SHOWER GEL, i always do anyway,  one person complained about the size on the tv? hello your visiting Beautiful Killarney,  why worry about the size of the TV,,, when your in such a beautiful place, ok the bed, very comfortable, bed linen spotless, we were at the front on the building facing a very busy road, do  expect a lot on noise from the traffic, once you close the window you will be fine, but the room is warm so we kept the window and still slept well,  the Cherry Tree is room only but to the right is a very big shop and deli, to the left is the town center a few minutes walk both ways and you will get breakfast, lunch, dinner, etc, we will return again we were sorry to cut our trip short, and thank you for making the day enjoyable, in your lovely comfortable house, thank you from Pat and Margaret Foley rm3, 20/08/2020 oh the Jack the dog,

The property is centrally located, just a couple minutes walk from the main centre. 

Check in was quick and easy. The gentleman was friendly & accommodating which made for a great first impression.  The property, main guest areas and room were all very clean and fairly modern - nice decor that’s well maintained. The bed was so comfortable which made for an amazing nights sleep! The room had a nice view of the mountains and although it was on the front of the building it was quiet and and I slept very well with no disruptions. 

Checkout was quick and easy! The gentleman working was very friendly and made some recommendations on what to see as well. It was a really pleasant way to start the day. Genuinely good customer service isn’t easy to find now a-days but from my experience at the Cherry Tree - they know how to do it! 

Thanks so much for a great experience and I will stay again when I’m in the area and also recommend to fellow travellers. 

Great Location & Clean

Stayed in the ‘Cherry Tree’ for 2 nights and had a great experience. The accommodation is within walking distance to Killarney town and the many amenities surrounding it. 

The room was clean and the beds were lovely and cosy, with plenty of extra pillows. Rooms toasty and quiet. 

Staff were so friendly and were there for our every need, they also gave us plenty of advice on things to do around Kerry. 

Would highly recommend to stay at the Cherry Tree! 

Wonderful location & stay 

My friend and I are visiting Ireland from Canada, we needed a one nights stay in Killarney and this was perfect in every way. Cozy, extremely clean, a deliscious homemade breakfast included and amazing staff. Aoifa was working and she was so nice and helpful, she is wonderful. The location was also great, very short walk to downtown and the National Park is close by as well. Definitely recommend if you are looking to stay in Killarney.

Perfect Stay

Yes this place is small and not everything was the best BUT the staff was very friendly and they went above and beyond to make us feel special for our honeymoon. They left a very nice note with chocolate covered strawberries plus 2 cans of Guinness in the room for us. The woman that checked us in was American and we chatted for a while about the states. The breakfast was delicious. The bed was very comfortable. And I thought the keys were really cool! I've never seen a working key like that here at home so I liked it. 
This BNB provided everything we needed for a night plus some. We had no complaints!

Nice place.

The location is perfect, only 5 minutes from Killarney village, and very close to Killarney National Park as well. The area is quiet. 

The room was great, plenty of space, very clean, and comfortable. The only complaint would be that one of the lights was not working, but that was not a big deal at all.

The breakfast was delicious, with a great menu allowing you to choose your favorite.

Finally, the staff was very friendly and made us feel at home. I would highly recommend, very good value :)

Very nice stay!

Could not fault the friendly service, nice breakfast and reasonable tariff. However the room was not up to scratch in a number of respects: the bathroom was the smallest it could be barely allowing one person to use it; no shampoo or shower soap; two lights not working; no bedside table or lamp for double bed; curtains thin and room at night was not dark; mattress in the single bed sloped; single bed directly touching the water heater/radiator; situated in the main road _ earplugs needed; no working lock on the door; no glasses for water.

Ensure staff understand requests for breakfast. Asked for poached egg. I was given fried egg and bowl of porridge!!!
Requested decaff tea, member staff looked at me blankly and repeated tea. Message did not compute.
Toilet did not flush (see previous review)
Room not serviced during 3 night stay (bin very full by end of stay) plus no extra items topped up.
Shower ok first day other days a trickle.

We travelled here for a family funeral we have stayed in different places in Killarney and in comparison this was the worst, room was dark with poor lighting, smoke alarm had just the outer shell? shabby bedding the pillow cases didn't match? something expected in a family home maybe, bathroom was dark one small mirror, shower pressure terrible, outdated décor,  tiny sink, three way adaptor for electrics, I don' t suppose this passed any inspection, The only thing that redeemed such a grim experience was a nice breakfast, but couldn't wait to check out, glad it was for one night I wouldn't have stayed any longer.

-didn’t see anyone working our entire stay 
- parking was first come first serve
- stinky 
- small room with window looking into the b&b next door
- small 10inch tv 
- bed sheets were manky and unmatching
-noone to change our sheets/towels etc 
- bedside lamp was dodgy
- shower door handle was broke from inside 
- one small mirror in bathroom 
- noisy 
- bed was uncomfortable like a rock. 
- no breakfast included. 

Apart from all of this the location was great but I will never stay here again. You get what you pay for!
