We had a lovely stay at Herrons Rest. The location was great, a quick walk to Galway attractions and easy day trips were taken to Aran Islands, Connemara National Park and the Burren region. Very comfortable accommodations and a well stocked refrigerator so we could make a delicious breakfast on our own daily.

Location great and very comfortable and clean!

Great location, beautiful view, delicious food provided for breakfasts and relatively quiet. There are an awful lot of steps to get up to the master bedroom, but it's worth it for the view and the bigger bed. The only drawback would be the lack of an exhaust fan in the bathroom to help get rid of the humidity after a shower.

Wonderful stay in Galway.

Superb location, house very comfortable and well stocked with locally sourced food. Lovely water view and easy walk to everything. Twenty eight steps to the en suite bedroom, but worth it. Nice bed linens and pillows, and the second and third bedrooms (14 steps from main level) worked well. Bad knee is reason for stair counting. Loved the kitchen and sitting watching the world go by plus the boats, including a Galway Hooker

Stayed three nights and some of the group spent a day going to the Aran Islands.

Great location and beautiful accommodation. 
A 3 story bnb located on the rover Corrib in the Claddagh area of the city.
The space has every facility you could ever need .

What an excellent spot. Perfect location for walking to Galway town just 2 minutes away. Sorcha and Maggie are wonderful to deal with and so helpful. We really enjoyed our stay and the hamper was full of delicious local food. We will be back!

Perfect place to stay in Galway

A great place to relax and chill, away from Dublin. If I have known better, I would’ve stayed in Galway longer. Aside for its great location and view, it is well maintained property overall. I personally like everything! The kitchen is well equipped with
modern appliances and all are working. The breakfast hamper was more than enough for me and my cousin who joined me later day of my stay. The living and dining area is spacious with lovely minimalist decors. The stairs to the bedroom is what I find very cute and homey. The bedroom is comfy, looks and feels clean. The bathroom is of good size, clean and all fixtures working properly like drains, sink, shower, faucet, etc! Enough supply of toiletries and towels. Safe and quiet neighbourhood, walking distance to nearby shops and restaurants and tour bus agency.

Perfect vacation spot!

We were two couples sharing the flat which was really cosy and tastefully furnished. The view from the window is magic. Self check-in and check-out  instructions easy and hassle-free. We had a scrumptious breakfast enjoying the delicacies that had been left for us: bread, organic yoghurt and granola, smoked salmon, jam, eggs and more. Bed and pillows very comfortable. Bathroom and amenities top quality. The only minor annoyance: some loud people passing by on the street late at night. 

Highly recommended place in Galway

This is a beautiful, cosy and clean base in the perfect location. Lovely personal touches- the local food in the fridge, the quality toiletries, the lovely soft pillows- wowed us. The house is just a short stroll to the tourist area on Quay Street, the museum is seconds away, the ferry docks only 15 mins stroll. All super convenient. It was nice to come back to the house each night after listening to the music in the amazing pubs nearby. Don’t miss out the West End, it’s far less crowded than the Latin Quarter and just as nice. We loved Galway and the house. 

Gorgeous home from home

My Family had an amazing experience at The Heron’s Rest while staying in Galway.  We are a family of 5 this place was more than comfortable.  It was clean, comfortable and short walk to the heartbeat of Galway, The Latin Quarter.  Easy parking accommodations as well.  The refrigerator was stocked for our convenience as well.  I give the highest recommendation to The Heron’s Rest for all visiting Galway City.

The Heron’s Rest is the perfect place to stay when in Galway and exploring this region of Ireland. The accommodations are not only immaculate but they are cozy, inviting and comfortable!  We booked directly and received the breakfast food which we enjoyed immensely. The location is wonderful - great views and a close walk to the shops and restaurants in the Latin Quarter. I hope we’ll be back, and book a longer stay next time!!
