We so muchh like this hotel!!, room really clean also we get hot water at room , small pool but still nice , staff really care and also helpfull. One of good chice if stay in gili trawangan and we can rent bycle in villa!! We love this hotel and we will come back!!

Nicee hotell!!!

We had an excellent stay at Guava Garden. It’s a beautiful little accommodation located 3 minute walk away from the beach. The pool area is gorgeous and the room was great, had everything we needed. Also liked the natural style shower outside. Tamjit the manager was fantastic and really made it a great stay, he was so helpful and helped us organise bikes and the turtle snorkel trip which was unforgettable. guava garden is highly recommended, great value 

Idyllic hotel, very helpful and nice staff 

Lovely room, overall the staff was helpful. But the staff tricked us with the price of renting bicykles and demanded double the price we were told when we first rented the bisyckles. We woke up every night at 4 am because of the loud prayers from the moské nearby and ear plugs didn’t help. The towels we were given was dirty but the bedroom was very clean and nice. The outdoor bathroom was cool.

Our stay

Guava Garden is a beautiful haven on Gili T! It’s close to the busy areas but manages to still be quiet and peaceful. The pool was great for relaxing, lots of shady areas to cool down and even some friendly cats. They serve a fabulous breakfast too!

A beautiful, peaceful paradise.

The Hotel Manager is the sweetest, most helpful person ever, he does everything to make the stay the most fabulous. The room is super cute and clean, the pool is great and the area is nice and very close to the center. Recommend it 12/10. The best ever!!!

Greatest Stay on our holiday!

Me and my boyfriend were staying here for two nights and it was wonderful! Good breakfast to choose from, a nice pool for cooling down, clean rooms and very friendly staff. And the best thing was that every room has an outdoor shower and it was lovely to take a shower under the stars! If you are a light sleeper like me maybe the mosque will wake you up in the night - but that will happen everywhere all over Gili T.

Clean, beautiful and friendly

I wanted to have a calm accommodation to come home to during my stay at gili t. Guava garden was perfect for my needs. Nice and clean room with amazing outdoor bathroom where you could shower under the moon at night. Nice breakfast served at your room. I only stayed there for two nights but would’ve been happy to stay for longer if I had more days at gili t.

Calm and relaxing

I’m actually not sure how many times that I’ve stayed at Guava Garden but I can certainly tell you that this little gem is like my home on the island.

The wooden bungalows are so cute with an outdoor shower. They also have a private balcony with a small day bed that you can sit and eat your breakfast, read a book or watch a movie on your iPad. There was a lot of rain in January so it was nice to have this space rather than being stuck in a room.  

There is both a fan & air con in the room which I like to have the option. A small blanket would be nice to have in the room just in case.

The staff are amazing and I can truly call them my friends on the island. They do such an amazing job of cooking breakfast, cleaning the rooms, security, general maintenance and talking with the guests. They are some of the hardest working bungalow stuff and always with a smile and warm greeting every time you walk through the gate.

The highlight is the pool and large gazebo that you can lay around in all day listening to the sounds of the surrounding streets and mosque.

It’s a short walk or ride on your bike to the beach/front/harbour. You can hire a bike from the staff.

Breakfast is huge .. choice of pancakes or eggs, fruit, toast & jam, fresh juice, tea & coffee. It’s lovely to sit in the poolside gazebo and enjoy your breakfast.

If you are a cat lover, the resident cats CC & Dot will steal your heart. They love to sit on your balcony and make themselves right at home with you.  I’m not a cat lover but I do like these two.

I’ve talked so much about Guava Garden to my friends, I brought a group with me for NYE and they loved it as well. They slipped right into Gili life and was very hard for them to leave after a short stay. I’m sure they will be back.

I have no hesitation in recommending Guava Garden.

A friendly place to call home on Gili

The positives were that the pool was lovely and refreshing, beds were pretty comfortable, good wifi, great hygiene standards in the room regarding sheet changing and dealing with any bugs that might come along (given it is on an island this is very common). Bikes to rent at good prices. 

The negatives were that overall it looked a little run down (e.g. pool not spotless, sun beds a bit dirty, toilet and sink a bit old), breakfast pancake tasted a bit funny but great fruit and juice, aircon almost ineffective but they gave us a fan too which helped, and communication challenging due to language barrier. Only one staff member spoke good English. 

Not the hotels fault but there are very loud prayers from the local tower(however they did provide earplugs) and noisy whistling pigeons. Perhaps staying somewhere else might help these issues? 

Overall, we enjoyed our stay but could have been a lot nicer given the price per night. 

Adequate stay on Gili T

My wife and I stayed at guava garden four years ago and had such an amazing time that we had to come back. The rooms just are as good as we remembered, plus a/c in every one now, and the grounds were even more beautiful, it really is a garden now! The staff were all new faces to us (except acok's brother, I recognize that face!) But the hospitality was exactly how we remembered it to be. The guys were all so friendly and helpful, there's no way we'd stay anywhere else the next time we visit Gili!
