Stayed 2 weeks in March this year. Our 2nd time at this hotel. Another  great experience. Close to the beach and well located for lots of great restaurants. Thanks to the owners Lester and Alisha  and all their fantastic staff for making us feel so welcome.  Can’t wait to return in November.

What a special place to stay!

I’m writing this review on our balcony having a refreshment before we head out, Alisha & Lester gave us a 1000 rupees to write a good review (joking 😂)

On arriving at the hotel we had an issue with the taxi driver from Goa Miles but Alisha came out to assist and it was quickly sorted and it was very much appreciated.

The hotel is classed as a 2 star but Alisha, Lester & all the staff make it a 5 star experience, yes the rooms are basic but have air con, a fan, a fridge, a tv with multiple channels & kept spotlessly clean by Jai who is a lovely guy and is always smiling & is a credit to the hotel.

There is a small swimming pool at the hotel but we only used it a couple of times as we used the beach most days but it nice for a dip.

There was a small selection for breakfast with eggs any way you like them, toast, fruit, fruit juice, tea & coffee which was perfectly fine for us but you could pay on top for English breakfast if you preferred.

A special shout out to two guys who work at the hotel that we had the pleasure of meeting, Prim & Max, you’re fantastic guys, keep smiling & delivering the customer service that makes you both a huge asset to the hotel.

Finally to Alisha & Lester, you are such lovely people & so approachable, you go out of your way to make your guests feel special & that is a sign of a great hotel.

We Love It!

What a great little hotel as soon as we got there and met Alisha you knew it was going to be a great place. Nothing was too much trouble for any of the wonderful staff at the great hotel rooms were small but nice and clean if it’s a budget hotel this is the place with a great restaurant joined to it. It as its own little pool area and in easy reach from the beach and all shops and restaurants on the main road. Was our third time in candolim and first at this hotel but won’t be the last. 
Overall a great 2 weeks was had by all would definitely recommend

Great little hotel

We went as a group of friends, some of us had been before. Some of us were new to the experience. 

The hotel was lovely. With respect the rooms are basic but are clean and tidy. Rooms are cleaned every day with fresh towels and bedding. Great little fridge to keep water cool. Safe was easy to use. TV had hundreds of indian channels 🤣

The hotel staff are lovely. They always have a smile and a chat with you. They are very helpful and get to learn your names - and vice versa. 

As has been said before quite a lot of the rooms face beach road. It can be noisy with the hustle and bustle of people, dogs, mopeds, tuk tuks and cars. The usual horns sounding. But it goes quieter later in the evening. It’s all part of the experience. 

You can people/dog watch and get ‘good mornings’ from the shop owners as you sip coffee on your balcony.

The hotel is linked to the Angaara BBQ Grill and Kickass Sportsbar. This is where you can watch 9 TV screens and drink and eat some amazing things. The strawberry daiquiri is amazing. 

There is entertainment on some evenings but watch out for the karaoke as it can be painful 🤣🤣

The bar staff are great and make sure your glass is never empty. 

Alisha and Lester are lovely and on the ball. Really helpful and obliging. 

There is a pool and some quieter rooms but i did not experience these so cannot comment. 

When we left we were waved off by the staff who came to shake hands. Lovely people. 

And a funny moment. There is a bag shop adjoining the bar. Even the bag-shop guy came out to shake hands 🤣🤣 The girls obviously spent with him 🤣🤣 

We will certainly be back with our gang.

The perfect base in a central location

This is a gem of a hotel. Wonderful  friendly staff. Lovely  rooms balcony overlooking the street. Great for people watching. Spotlessly clean. Very comfortable.  Food is very good. Can't think of a thing not to like. Location  is perfect. Close to everything 

Gem of a hotel

Location, Location, Location,  Right in the middle of everything. Beach takes 2 minutes to get to, other restaurants all around you, although the food is excellent at the Angara (silver sands sunshine),Angara bar has all live sports and live entertainment .  The staff are fantastic, Lester and Alisha looked after us very well. Would recommend.

Alisha and Lester the owners are marvelous, lovely and kind souls who really made my family very comfortable. 

Also would like to mention that all the staff are super nice and helpful. I was able to get car service, rent a motorcycle and more with the help of front desk very quickly.

At Angaara restaurant the food is delicious and we ate practically everyday. The pool is also clean with waterfall and provides beach towels.

It is very close to everything -  grocery store, medical stores, 5 minute walk to the beach. Excellent location.

Excellent Hotel and very hospitable staff :)

This hotel has surpassed all our expectations. We have been here a week now and have a Standard room which overlooks the beach road and initially we were a little worried that this would be noisy. However, after 11.00pm the traffic quietens down and our sleep has never disturbed. We actually enjoy people  watching from our balcony. The location is excellent with the beach being just a 2 minute walk away. The hotel is also in the centre of candolim and you can get a bus at the top to mapusa or panjim. We have a huge king size bed in the bedroom which is extra large and extremely comfortable. The air conditioning is good and there us also a ceiling fan which also blocks any noise. The room is well lit and has good storage. The fridge is a small beer fridge but does the job and we got a kettle on request no problem. We really like the large bathroom with spacious enclosed shower area. There is always plentiful hot water. We have breakfast included which is simple and very good, choice of eggs, toast, cereal, fruit and Indian choice. The waiters bring this to our table and also make the toast for you. The room is cleaned as often as you like by leaving your key at reception. There is a pool area with a few sunbeds provided. We have ate a few meals in the Angara the restaurant and wasn’t disappointed. All the staff are so helpful and friendly and always greet you with a smile. The reception is open 24 hours with very helpful staff also. Lester and Alisha, who run the hotel are so friendly and nothing is too much trouble for them. We have rang reception a few times for extra towels and s problem with the safe and both times someone has been at the door to help as soon as we put the phone down. We really appreciate all the help everyone has given us so far  and look forward to the next couple of weeks here. All we can say is it’s one of the best places we’ve ever stayed in goa, superb 10/10 and definitely will be coming back.

Outstanding service and lovely hotel

Absolutely love Silver sands sunshine. Alisha and Lester are brilliant hosts, lovely couple,very helpful and friendly.Visited several times and won't be the last. Make you feel very welcome and at home. The staff, waiters and room cleaners were always very attentive,rooms cleaned and fresh towels daily. Great location for bars,restaurants and beach. Had a memorable holiday, will see you soon

As soon as we arrived the management was fantastic so welcoming and helpful great room over looking beach road very clean great bar in hotel with great staff music on everynight all the sport is on and fantastic location for everything would recommend
