214 reviewsWe enjoyed being able to watch all the houseboats pass by from our great viewpoint in the treehouse - this seemed a much better option than actually being on one of the houseboats! Friendly staff and Ratheesh the manager is very knowledgeable about the bird life. We enjoyed the early morning village walk with him as well as the sunset canoe trip with lovely guy whose name I've sadly forgotten (he also met our taxi at the start and took us back at the end.) Food was very good throughout. One day we took the local ferry from the nearest landing point and enjoyed our meandering (and extremely economical) boat trip into Allappuzha - although after a very short time there we decided to come back to the peace and calm of Our Land! Sunrise here was also stunning. PS we followed a good tip in other reviews and asked the taxi driver to make a detour so that we could pick up some beer at the government beer shop on our way from the station, which the resort put into the fridge for us.
