Before you read on further, let me tell you the other reviews talking nice things about this place are fake (you may confirm that by the random names against those reviews)

This is a scam. Let me tell you how they operate. They have guys stationed at railway station who will somehow convince you to go with them and they will say - we will get a jeep or so, and show you 4-5 hotels. Till this point, you cannot even distinguish who is the auto guy and hotel owner. Then, for us, they arranged a cab and auto (instead of jeep). That's ok for now. Also, the room fare was quoted the cheapest (around 1k, as we were not going to stay full 24 hrs and also had to visit Sam/Thar desert) amongst all the places we'd visited in Rajasthan till then. Our train arrived early morning 6 AM, so we had agreed to go their place.

Once we reached their so-called hotel, with a cow/buffalo stable next to it, he took us to show one room which looked ok and then offered us to use another room as well for getting fresh. Then came the twist.

While we were in the process of shifting our luggage into their room, he called us to discuss something. He opened typical Jaiasalmer safari portfolio showing pictures as if we are going to get a lifetime experience. Then he told us it will cost us around Rs 2300 per head. I asked him to split it up based on what's included. He reluctantly started telling the price of each item in his list. I guess the price was random as he was not prepared for such a question.

Then came one item in his list - Night Stay. I told him we are not planning to stay at night as we had a train to catch, so that shouldn't apply to us. On this, he got annoyed. He told you would need to pay for that. I told him we are already paying for staying (the amount he had convinced us @ railway station), why to pay again in safari package. He replied saying that amount is nothing and we can keep it.

On this, all of us got a sense of his true color and by God's grace, decided to walk out of his so-called hotel. By this time, the auto and cab guys had disappeared, so we had to search for a new hotel again.

Don't get conned or fooled or tempted by Monica goons

A good budget hotel with clean rooms and a/c for a reasonable price.

Nice camel safari with local tour guide (Mr Lucky) - we spendt one night in the desert with a beautiful sunset and stars above us :-)



Hotel & Camel Safari

We stayed for 2nighs in monica guest house. Its a nice place to stay, is calm and have a rooftop with nice view. Anita, the person who works there is very nice, and helpfull, we had good conversations :) the wifi didn't worked. Walking distance to the fort. The safari i would not recommend, the guy we did the safari (izzac) it was a very bad guide. We paid a lot to see the sunset in the desert and some villages. The guy was always hurried and always talking loud on the phone. Didn't said nothing about the villages or anything. He said one place to meet us after se sunset in the sam dunes and he was not there. Better anita was with us and had the phone number of him, because we were in the desert and no guy and no jipe waiting for us. When we complained about, he said he was right and we three were wrong... not normal. The sunset it was beautiful for shore. 

Nice place for the money

Ok it is longer story. I was on train station in Jodhpur going to Jaisalmer. I supposed to be taken by pick up in Jaisalmer the problem was i did'nt have contact and hotel name to new place i just new that i have to be picked up. Guy from Monica guest house came to me in Jodhpur and he asked where I am from and where do I go. When I told him that i go to KK family guest house friend in Fort in Jeiselmer he told me (Monica guy)  that the fort is falling down and its impossible to get inside (nonsense). He told me also that people from Kuku Family guest house are cheaters and they are doing everything to get money from tourist, he said also that the hotel where I go is really bad (Hopefully some of Kuku family guest house will read it). Another think he said is that owner of Monica house is Polish so I could speak with her etc. I don't know why did I listen to him but I allowed him to pick me up to the Monice Guest house. Inside he shown me a messy room where someone was sleeping before he just sort a blanket and told me that I can sleep here after his brother. I asked him to speak with Polish owner and he told me that she is sleeping and if I want o can go!!! I also asked him where is my hotel where I supposed to stayed and he said that he does'nt know!! I just left this bad place and I advise you to stay far away from there!!!

Impossible how bad they are

This hotel really takes care of you from your arrival to your departure. They offer free taxa service and pick you up in the bus or railway station. When we arrived to the hotel they welcomed us with a cup of chai. All the staff are friendly and smiling and will do everything to help you. Our room was very nice decorated and new painted with beautiful Rajasthan textiles. The bed sheets and toilet were clean. Wi-Fi is for free and also works in the room. The hotel is situated very close to everything but we didn’t have so much time so the staff organised a city tour for us in the morning and a magical camel adventure after. They have a rooftop restaurant with an amazing view to the fort. The food was delightful and very tasty. Thanks to all the staff for making our days in Jaisalmer unforgettable. We recommend this friendly hotel to all travellers.

Excellent choice in Jaisalmer

자살메르에 한국인 대상으로 하는 호텔이 몇개있긴한데
번잡한거 싫거나 조용히 즐기고 쉬실분께 추천합니다.
물론 루프탑에 레스토랑 있긴 한데 추천은 안하구요.
가지호텔 바로 옆이라 거길 이용했구요.
참고로 에어컨방 150이구요.
레스토랑은 100-200정도 했던것 같습니다.
나름 스텝들이 말 잘들어서 좋았습니다.

Therere some hotels that korean usally been in jsm . But if u dont like complx thing and need to take rest comportaly . I recommand thia hotel.
During i staying this hotel . The most good thing is nice view and kind staff. Good price.
Free wifi. Welcome jjai. And theres some beds at the roof top so u could relax and feel jsm air.
