14 reviewsI stayed here for almost 3 weeks in Sept/Oct 2017, mostly writing and meditating. It was a wonderful experience. Sudeesh and Ana and the staff were extremely welcoming, kind and responsive. Filling, tasty meals brought to your villa allow you to immerse yourself in work if you happen to be on retreat where continuity of focus is so important. When you do want to go out and explore you are only a 100 rupee auto rickshaw ride away from Poopara, from which you can take a 30 rupee bus to Munnar town. You're 1.5 hours away. There are also places to hike, like Mathikettan Shola, or to just walk around much closer to the villas. It was so very peaceful there, in Santhanpara. For certain travelers the distance from all of the action (37 km), together with the delicious food brought reliably to your door, will definitely be a plus. Highly recommended.
