Worst ever stay.  The hotel I normally stay in chennai refused to accommodate me with the story they don't take foreigners any more. 11pm at night I just wanted to sleep somewhere after more than 24hrs travel.  This one I found.  Checked in.  All looked OK until I see cockroach everywhere.  Report to the reception he gave me a glass cleaner spray. Couldn't sleep at all.  Had to leave early morning to go to another hotel. 
Never ever again

Don't have any complaints regarding the hotel and the room. Ac switch was not working so the temperature was set once and for all. got pretty chilly in the night due to this. The only issue is that my roommate left his earphone in the room in the morning which we were never able to recover when we came back in the evening. However, they made a sincere attempt in searching it.

We’ve stayed at FabHotel properties across India but this Chennai property as a rotten mango spoils the goodwill basket the chain Fab Hotels has made. See attached image, this is how Tea is served even after we’ve approached the CEO and Head Office of the group complaining about practically every thing. 

Broken Toilet seats, broken jet sprays, absence of AC remote control, dirty and stinking bathrooms, stained and dirty bed linen,  Wi-fi not working, Geyser not working, very arrogant and non-cooeperative staff, Breakfast Buffet not replenished and lastly no Food available on A La Carte Menu (snacks) except Pakodas. Second day even these were Not Available and the staff expresses “only Tea/Coffee available Madam”. 

Rooms were changed frequently. This torture was experienced by 2 aged ladies and Inspite of requesting them to take care of these Senior Citizens they made sure Hell was let loose. To add to the pain the Zomato Dinner was turned away by staff, maybe just to trouble our family.  

They go on to prove that local staff and Management of a Contracted Property can absolutely ruin the brand image of a reputed chain. But maybe the FabHotel Audit department missed all the above crucial facts. 

Certainly NOT A RECOMMENDED PROPERTY unless fighting for basic hospitality and suffering all through the stay excites you.

DON’T EVEN DARE BOOK THIS PATHETIC HOTEL

I stayed at FabHotel for the first time.
And I must say that it was a good experience.
It is nearly in the center of the city, and thus accessibility to any other place is no issue.
If I visit Chennai again, Metro Manor would be my first preference.

Nice location, clean rooms and affordable tariff

In the months of May we have visited this hotel for one night near to chennai central and metro,average rooms and bath rooms.good restaurant and tasty food,free break fast limited items and tasty overall ok ok

Booking under the fabhotel website(1300/day) is much cheaper than the direct booking option which costs you around 2k, The only downside is that you will get the room only at 11 am due to the 24 hr system the follow in this sense. Now for a place to stay this close to the central railway station (like a 15 minute walking distance) is really value for money at this sort of a location. The ameneties provided are fairly okay and the staff is helpful. The cleanliness is quite alright and there is a facility for cloakroom as well. Further more it is placed at a convenient location from most of the major metro stops. There is a good landmark called the nehru stadium which is popular amongst the autorikshaw fellows. Enough places to eat as well around the place.

METRO manor is a regular place that I stay when I visit Chennai on work . It's centrally located and easily accessible to other places as well . 
The rooms are decent and tidy enough . The place has undergone renovation and they are upgraded themselves now. 
A decent breakfast to add along makes the place a comfortable one .

Good place for a business visit 

Location is good, if you want to stay central (300m from train station). The Deluxe room was spacious enough and was clean, but nothing extra. 
One can hear everything going on in the hallway and also through the shaft in the bathroom.
Breakfast was included, but simple and local (nothing wrong with that, but if you're not used to eat veggie-stew with your hands, this might not be your place!). No one spoke English at restaurant, but I thought they would know the word "coffee". After waiting for 10 mins for the coffee (silly me thought maybe they were roasting the beans) and saw another guest getting it, I went to staff and pointed at it, and then I got a cup.
I don't expect too much from a budget hotel though, but when a guy (a manager?) approached me when checking out and said "you 5-star us", which made me chuckle and answer "well, we'll see about that", he wouldn't listen, and prompted to make a short video where for promo, which I declined, there was only grumpy faces (and probably insults in local language) to be seen. If it wasn't for that pushy guy, this place would've received a 3 star.
