When we arrived we got a very pleasant tour of the guesthouse with the owner, including our room. The owner explained where to view the  northern lights (of they would come.. they did!). In the morning the owner explained what a typical icelandish breakfast would be and it was truthfully delicious. If i would go back to iceland in that region, we would defenitly go back to this guesthouse! 

Great experience

Stayed here for one night on our tour of Iceland. A simple and unpretentious guesthouse that is off the beaten track. It was comfortable and we really enjoyed our stay. The host was extremely welcoming and friendly. We would recommend and would stay again

Lovely guesthouse

The location was excellent for touring the Golden Circle outside of Reykjavik, Iceland.   The owner was very gracious ready to answer any questions then showing us to our very clean, spacious, comfortable temperature wise room.  The shared bathroom also was very spacious and clean.  The surroundings were very quiet giving us a nice, restful sleep.  Breakfast was typical European with cheeses, sliced meats, hard boiled egs, cereals, breads, etc. juices and coffee.  All excellent.

GREAT Guesthouse - GREAT Breakfast

This guesthouse is amazing. Haraldur the host is super friendly, very helpful, and a fun guy. As guest, you always feel very welcome. The room was very clean. We stayed for 9 nights, as the guesthouse is nicely located to do day trips to see many different attractions. I would definitely come back!

Great stay at the perfect host!

Couldn’t really fault this place. It has a great atmosphere, it’s clean,The Wi-fi works and  the showers fabulous  
The communal lounge/ kitchen we found to be a great social space although I suppose it would depend on your fellow guests but we had a fun couple of evenings. There’s enough space to tuck yourself away if you don’t want to join the conviviality though and a separate lounge area up stairs. 
Haraldur is a good host, informative and helpful but unobtrusive  
It would be my first pick if coming back to Iceland.

Come and stay here. It’s lovely.

Wonderful atmosphere in a lovely location. A few kilometres from Fludir, Gulfoss and Geysir. The owner is a very kind gentlemen who was a great host. Very nice breakfast provided and all the needed info in regard to the surroundings.

Lovely cottage near Gulfoss

Located in a quiet village close to Gamla Laugin, this immaculately clean guesthouse has easily 3-star hotel -worthy rooms in a quiet, homely setting. The owner is a sweetheart and the breakfast he serves is a delightful introduction into Icelandic treats. There are complete kitchen facilities for guest use. Highly recommended.

A cosy, welcoming place

A beautiful house in a countryside location. We were given a warm welcome by the host who made sure our stay was relaxing. Great facilities - big kitchen/breakfast area, modern room with a balcony overlooking the garden, and the best breakfast we had on our whole trip, with everything carefully explained by our host! Also close to the Secret Lagoon, a fantastic local geothermal pool with a great friendly atmosphere. Altogether I can't fault our stay - very highly recommended.

Wonderful guesthouse and best Iceland breakfast!

A great place to stay and chill out after wandering around the countryside. Stylish rooms with modern bathrooms, large kitchen and a good breakfast where you can taste the local products. Our host Haraldur was just great, kind and informative. We recommend this place to anybody going for the Golden circle trip or staying in South West Iceland, it's close to so many interesting sites.

Comfortable guesthouse, great host

We had a very pleasant two nights here, good location for the Golden Circle. Our room had a very comfortable bed and lots of light. The bathroom had a very good shower. The host was friendly and made us welcome. When you arrive there is not a reception as such but a doorbell on the table which you can ring to let them know you're here (we missed this so ended up phoning). The host gave us tips on how to get the best chance of seeing the Northern Lights from the hotel and gave us an introduction to the Icelandic food at breakfast. It is a shoes-off guesthouse so consider bringing slippers! Cooking facilities are provided if you want to be self-catering, if not there are a few restaurants within driving distance).
