After 7 years we returned to this hotel with zero expectations and we’re really surprised how everything improved here. The rooms were refurnished and modernized, everything was new, great beds and facilities. The stuff was very nice and helpful, especially in the beach bar and the food was great. There was nothing to complain about. We had a great time and I’m sure we’ll be back next year.

Great improvement

We spent 4 nights at winter time in the hotel. It was perfect. The hotel is on the part of Balaton. You can see the Balaton everywhere, so you dont need a room with balcony. The hot is renewed, clean and new everywhere you see. The beds are big, fluffy, the room and all the hotel was really warm, when the weather was awfull outside. The pools and wellness, gim is big, various, well managed. You can swim in enough big pool, you can have jacussi, baby pool, and plus 3 pools inside and in summer outside, bars relaxing beds. The food is really fresh, tasty, Hungaria and european cousin. Really good place!

Perfect

Stayed here with a group tour.  The breakfast buffets were very good with a large selection of foods to choose from.  This was included in the room price.  We had dinner there several evenings and again the food at the buffet was very good with a large variety to choose from.  . Bar in lobby was comfortable and we shared a few drinks with our tour group members. Room was very nice, clean. but was surprised about having to  get  the remote control for the television with the key cards upon check in and must return same  upon check out.

great atmosphere, fantastic music and service, comfortable room
Give it a try if you would like to spend a few days in the area.
Balaton is a fascinating sight even in winter !!! And in the summer, a lively "beach"

A good New Year's Eve party

We were there more than 5 times, it is always clean, friendly, the rooms are perfect in the new building. The wellness area is big enough, there are many different attractions. The best in the hotel is the location, directly at the lake Balaton. The food is nice, the staff is friendly, higly recommended.

One of our best choose

I stayed in this hotel in the middle of summer and it was a pleasant experience. Rooms and bathrooms are spacious and clean, but there is no complimentary water/tea/coffee as in other **** hotels. I appreciated that all families with small kids were located somewhere else within the building because we were never woken up early morning by screaming children, which was a blessing.
Staff was mostly helpful but sometimes a bit curt. The parking lot is safe and guarded (albeit a bit croweded in peak times). We could even store our bicycles in the underground parking lot (it costs an extra fee if you want to store your car down there, though). Breakfast and dinner with a great variety. Sit outside if you can!

Good hotel, excellent location

Do not go to this hotel! I cannot believe it is so highly rated. It doesn't worth the high price.

First of all, this hotel is definitively not a 4 star hotel. The building feels tired, stinky inside and crumbling outside. No air conditioning in the corridors and in one of the breakfast rooms. Hungary gets really hot in the summer! There is not enough sunbeds and not enough shade around the swimming pools. It is a lakefront property but no water sport facility! No pedal boat or kayak rental. Nothing.

The worst is that they have no clue what hospitality is and what service means despite their high price.

My family just spent three nights there in their two bedroom suit, and we had such a horrible gutter smell in our unit. I complained right away but they fixed it only after the second night. Not acceptable! Why did I even had to complain? The housekeeping should have noticed and fixed it by themself!
The food was okay, but we had to eat at a dirty table almost every time as they never wiped the tables after removing the used plates from other guests. Huh? Not acceptable! When we ordered wine for dinner and asked for a jug of water as well, we were told to pick up water ourselves. What? In a 4 star hotel? 
The staff and the waiters were always disorganized and seemed overwhelmed. At breakfast time the buffet was not restocked after 9:30 so we rarely had fresh fruit and no variety of bread. This is not fair for the people who arrived later than the others. Again, this is not acceptable for a 4 star hotel. The coffee machine was out of order in the main breakfast room and it took them a couple of days to fix it! Seriously? So for the time being we were asked to use another coffee machine in another room but they did not bring over cups or any milk to that particular (non air-conditioned) room, so it felt chaotic and disorganized. 

This hotel is very expensive for the price. I could go on with all the small details such as the trash cans that were not emptied, the dirty glasses in the room that were never cleaned after the house keeping, broken vanity mirror in the bathroom, not enough towels, no body lotion only shampoo, etc. All this maybe wouldn't be a problem if this hotel wouldn't be so expensive and signed as 4 star. The worst is that we complained at the reception and even asked for the manager as my family felt sick in the room due to the nasty gutter smell, but the person at the desk could only said that he was sorry to hear our complaints.

This hotel has Western European prices, but Eastern European service. It is time to learn about hospitality! I regret to pay my bill at the check-out...
