This is not a 5-star hotel.  The rooms are old and dated.  The bed did not even have a proper mattress - a thin piece of foam.  I then wondered why they did not provide a cover or blanket and that is because the air conditioning does not work.  The AC stops when you leave the room and then takes 45 minutes once you have come back to the room to reach a decent ( note not the desired) temperature.  Unacceptable, when the outside temperature is 45 degrees Celsius.  Grossly understated value for money, especially in a small town outside of Volos not a major tourist town, where you cannot even swim at the beach across from the hotel.

Would not recommend this 5 star "resort"

Not a five star hotel. Very worn furniture and the rooms seem to be untidy. It needs an immediate renovation. Not a value for money. I don’t recommend it. No heated indoor pool.

Very disappointed with the room

Nice OUTSIDE hotel, recepționa are is nice as well . But rooms are very poor and furniture looks very old :(( 
Really need a renovation ! 

NO BEACH were to stay ( just 5  sun beds) 
Pool is small for all people from hotel :(

One night stay

A good resort hotel generally with available public transportation to Volos city center and more west of Volos too! But I rated it at a 2 because the beds were uncomfortable, broken and old in the room we stayed which was 201 in building A on the top floor and we charged 140 euros for the room at the checkout. 

Staff was really excellent, no bad comments for anything else BUT, from a 5 star hotel,  you have expectations that there will be the right and appropriate standards in the room and bathroom for disabled guests.  
Unfortunately they do not meet the specifications,  resulting in complete disappointment.  A generous effort is needed for renovation and new additions of auxiliary handles and equipment so to make the spaces functional.

Very polite staff. Excellent spot right on the beach and very clean. It is also very close to Volos. The only reason I rate it as five is that in my opinion it is less luxurious than a typical five star hotel. For example the quality of breakfast was low to medium. On the other hand it is value for money. The more luxurious five star hotels are more expensive.

Nice location

There were good aspects here and some not so great. The hotel needs a renovation and our room was tired. It smelt horrible when we opened the door - it was from the drainage. The bath was a jacuzzi - one handle on the tub was broken and when I tried to fill the bath the plug floated away and the water flooded the floor. The shower did not have good pressure. The handle on the cupboard was broken, the safe door did not close properly and it was not possible to open the cupboard properly. Apart from that it was ok, but there was obviously a problem with damp as the wall bordering the bathroom had bubbles in the paint work which had been painted over but the bubbles were still there. We slept very well, nevertheless. Having said all that, the rest of the hotel was fine. The breakfast was excellent, very good coffee, the food we ate there as part of the group was also fairly basic but very tasty. The pool looked lovely although I didn't get around to using it. I can't see myself spending summer holidays there, but it was ok for a weekend.

Weekend Convention

Our family stayed at the Valis for 4 nights. The location is a quiet seaside destination only €9 by taxi to Volos (15mins drive). 

Staff are polite and helpful. Rooms are large and well appointed. Wifi isn’t amazing in the rooms but available throughout the resort. Water is provided  in the rooms each day. My recommendation would be to book a room on the reception side of the hotel as it is more updated and away from any noise from the function centre/restaurant. 

The breakfast, although lots of variety was beige at best. Greece has the most amazing bakeries but every pastry or bread on offer at the buffet looked and tasted a day old - we didn’t eat any other meals at the resort because if this as there are some wonderful seafood restaurants only a few steps from the hotel.

Great hotel in a perfect holiday location

My husband and I were part of a 300 people convention in the hotel, culminating in a gala dinner. The hotel was completely unprepared and personnel was insulting to guests. We arrived at the venue at 9:30 as instructed and waiters were calling the tables in turn to get served. By 11:30 pm we still had  not eaten and there was no food left. We had to leave. Very unprofessional waiter was insulting to us telling us we should wait more for food to arrive. Don't ever go to this hotel . The worst I have ever been

lower than terrible

Is a hotel that mocks that it is 5 stars, the rooms are unmaintained and abandoned. the windows have a large gap, and it is as if he slept on the street, the bathroom is roughly rebuilt and the water has no pressure at all, the quality of breakfast and food is of poor quality and too overpriced.
Wi Fi in the rooms is almost non-existent
The result of all this was to pay for a 3-star room at the cost of 5 stars and to spoil my vacation.
Be careful not to be fooled
