Dora was an amazing hostess and she made us feel extremely welcome from the time we arrived. The studio was lovely and had everything we needed including a lovely balcony to eat on. The room was kept very clean and the bed was very comfortable. Delicious food and home baked goodies were an absolute delight. Location is excellent, 5 minutes from Nea Chora beach and 15 from Chania old town. Hoping to go back next year.

Great place to stay

Basically, you feel like home. 
Dora (owner) was wonderful, so welcoming and helpful. She always goes out of her way to make your stay extra special. 

We were welcomed with traditional Greek breakfast and Greek coffee. 
She always tops up the fruit basket with  fresh oranges/fruit. The most juiciest I’ve tasted.
She looked after us and made us feel like family.
The rooms are super clean, and daily cleaned too. The whole place is immaculate.

The location is fantastic. You are local to everything. The beach is a 2 minute walk (literally at your door step). The old town is around 7 minutes walking.

At your doorstep you will find a bakery, fruit market and mini supermarket.

I wouldn’t go else where! Thank you Dora for everything, see you next year  :)

Beyond excellent

It was a beautiful experience staying with these lovely people in a wonderful town. It was a beautiful 8 days in this villa with Katernia. She is an amazing lady. Treated us with her home made pastries on our arrival. Shared her greek home cooked food which was simply delicious.
Me and my husband got the room with drawing room (there is a small kitchen in all the rooms) in this villa with a beautiful balcony. It was truly a home away from home. Initially we had booked it for 4 nights and were thinking of going to some other island for the rest of the stay. but we were so happy in this villa that we extended our stay for 3 more nights and spent beautiful evenings and mornings with Katernia and learnt some greek recipes :)
She is very caring and took care of us like her children. My translation app helped me chat with her a lot inspite of the fact that we could not understand greek and she could not understand english.
It was 100 mts from Neo Chora beach where there are so many nice restaurants that have live local music nights on Friday/Sat. Old town is 10-15 mins walk from here. There are 2 super markets very near to this villa.
Overall a WONDERFUL experience to say the least.

Home away from home

I decided stay with the Villa Katerina, which is not a villa at all, more like an extra house added to a property which is divided into self contained units. It has a home stay feel to it as the old landlady is super friendly and other studio rooms are rented out long term stayers, students studying in town. The room is clean, spacious, the bathroom is an okay standard - for 30 euros per night I thought it was a good deal. It is close to the centre too, around 15 mins from the port.

Studios with a homestay feel

Stayed in Villa Katerina end of Sept 2014 with my sister who was over from Australia. Lovely studio apartments, clean sheets and towels with plenty of hot water. Location is superb, just 10-15 minutes walk to old town and harbour. In heart of Nea Chora with lots of lovely local shops, bakeries, etc. Just a 10 min walk to the beach too, with a small beach another 10 mins around the cove. Owner is a lovely Creten lady (I assume Katerina) who spoke no English - and we in turn spoke no Greek - but she was still extremely hospitable and always exchanged pleasantries every day. Would thoroughly recommend. Excellent value.

Super studio rooms in excellent location

Good location but proprietor did not speak english and did not accept cards only cash, but was very friendly. The room was basic but clean. It was not so much a villa as a room with kitchen and bathroom.

Central location

The owner doesn't speak english, only greek. It's not a villa, but an extra building with 7 flats.
The flat its really spacious and the bed was amazingly comfortable. Full furnished. 

The bathroom was with some problem on the  flush.

Really good location. Chania beach was only 10 min away walking.
