Small boutique hotel with excellent communication,
Room was clean, bed comfortable and very short walking distance to downtown FIra
Great value for the money and wifi worked well
Only down side is that I wish they provided an iron for clothes.
Will stay again on my next visit

The place was beautiful! Very accommodating, wonderful location and gracious hosts!
My friends and I enjoyed both the rooms we stayed in. 
We were pleased with the service to and from the airport, we were given tips on things to do and pointed in the right direction. extra bonus, it allowed us to save money on a cab.

I visited Santorini, Greece for one night about a month ago and booked in at the villa Murano. Both of the owners were very pleasant and helpful with any questions I had about the island and the town. They offered me transfers for a cost which was reasonable compared to the taxi process and offered suggestions on things to during my short stay. The room was clean and comfortable especially for the price that you pay. Only a short 10-15 minute walk to town. Would definitely stay here again.

We found this place last minute.  First, Karissa was so lovely helping us select certain activities, as she took time out when we first got there to show us the lay of the land. Cornell, another staffer, was frequently available during evening to assist with what we needed. Clean, air conditioned. They offer airport transportation for an inexpensive fee. Simple accommodations but close to city center and a scenic walk along the way. Seems like a family run business. Pleasant stay.

Everything we wanted and more!

Pleasant and welcoming stay!

Great experience 

Top of a quiet hill up from the main boulevard. Easy access. Reception is not 24h, but 8 to 8. The receptionist was sweet and helpful. Room was spacious, although the bathroom did not have a proper shower spot. Fairly clean. Fairly priced.

It fits!

Villa Murano wasnt what we expected to be. Small room not so clean dirty walls without amenities. The only pisitive is its location. Its near the center and not far away from the public transfers and  a 10 minute walk to Kalntera. Wifi was free and it was decent.The swimming pool was filthy and not so appealing. It seems that the owner doesnt want to renovate it but if he does villa Murano will be fully booked! The girl at the reception was friendly and professional . She informed us about the hotel info and she provided maps.

Apparently we booked our Santorini trip late in the season and this was the best our travel agent could get,well I am not sure what we payed for this place as it was a package deal,but hopefully not much.This is as close to back packing I hope to be, the room was clean but very small,I don't know maybe that is just how it is there looking at the other buildings they seem to be similar style,and villa I guess does not mean hotel, so there was not even a jug,my partner ended up sick and I couldn't even make a tea for him, the lady who is there ,only at certain times is helpful and will boil your own bottled water for you.We found it very noisey from outside traffic to the bathroom sounds from nextdoor.Atleast there was a pool and not to far to walk to town.

We had reservations at this hotel. When we arrived, there was no one to greet us. Another person was waiting also. Checking was 1:00 pm. The host did not strive until 1:40 pm. The other persons room was not clean so heavy wait longer. The rooms are very small; the TV was the size of a lap top with a distorted picture! The bed was not very comfortable. The shower curtain was not long enough to keep the water in the shower stall, so water dripped onto the floor! The area (Fira) is very congested and it was extremely hot! There were three cruise ships docked so the narrow streets were extremely crowded! I think this will be toward the bottom of my list for a return trip!

Pick somewhere else!

My friend and I stayed here for five days and were thoroughly disappointed by Villa Murano.   We visited Santorini in mid April and it was still a bit chilly at night. Our room was absolutely freezing and did not have heat. Also, there was no hot water for a shower. We contacted the owner about this, but he never responded. The hotel is also not located in the city. The walk into Fira was only about 15 minutes though, which was manageable. As two women, we did not feel the safest waking to the hotel at night because of the area and instead tried to get back before it was too dark. Reception was also always closed. Overall, I would encourage you to spend your money on a nice hotel instead of trying to save. Santorini is not a budget travel destination. However, you do get what you pay for. If you don’t have the money to stay somewhere nicer and don’t mind not showering, then Villa Murano would be okay. It was relatively clean. Also, if you do decide to stay there, they require that you pay in cash so make sure you have enough when you get there. 

Not Great..

Positive: Large and clean room with four beds, and good air conditioner. Clean and nice sized bathroom. The view from the shared terrace is nice. 

Negative: No proper window - like being in a bunker! Dangerous in case of a fire - no escape. No table to eat by, no private space outside if you want to have breakfast with your family. The pool was small, dirty and ice cold. There was a lot of noisy traffic passing just outside the villa. The outdoor space felt dirty and there was no flowers, pillows or any attempt to make the space feel welcoming. The receptionist was not offering any help with the luggage, not even my 65 year old mother in law was offered help. There was no possibility to buy a cup of coffee or some snacks. You could buy water, bear or coke, but even this possibility was closed after 6 pm… 

Conclusion - Villa Murano is fine if you only need a bed to sleep for the night - that’s it.
