Aeolos Hotel Apartment was more than we expected, according to the amount we paid, before our arrival. The room was very clean, having all necessary for cooking, shower, comfortable sleep, hair-dryer, etc. Everything in good condition working perfectly. A simple, spacious and functional room, 100 meters from the wonderful beach. Polite personnel. Plus nice shadow in the private parking space.

Feeling comfortable and relaxed

Well priced, clean, room has a kitchenette. Walking distance to Mavrovouni beach, cafe and a small supermarket. A short drive to Gytheio town which is a great place to go for dinner, or otherwise there are a few good tavernas a 10 min walk (4 min drive) in the heart of Mavrovouni town. Staff was very helpful in telling us the best attractions to go around Lakonia and made our stay comfortable. The only real issue in the room was lighting. There is only one small light which only illuminates half the small room. A second light over the kitchenette would be ideal.

Very convenient and clean

Want to experience the real life and magical enegy of Greece. If you do, head to this wonderful place and spend a month there like we did. This was our second stay at Aeolos Appartments only a short 200mtrs from the glisaring blue waters, soft sands and turtle nesting of Mavarovouni Beach surrounded by mountains and only located three or so hours drive from Athens.
You can't go past the wonderful family run Aeolos Appartments which is nestled amoungust the Mavarovouni olive groves and taveners and only a scenic 20minutes walk from the centre of Gytheio. This region is a central location which gives you access to many attraction in the region from a drive to the world renowned Diros water caves, the amazing natural waters and beauty of Monemvasia, Elafonisos, Skoutari, Porto Kagio and Limeni. Aeolos is 2 star rated appartments and it may not be the most moden place I have stayed in but the service you will get from this family run business is the most clean, friendly and helpful that we have had in all the years of travel. Taki (the manager) is always on site as she runs the day to day operations including cleaning, addressing your needs and provides very useful information of the area. We spent most of our breakfast and evening eating time at the family owned Stilvi Cafe (just around the corner) Vicki cooks up amazing waffles, crapes and omelettes. While you can't go past Spiros's list of cocktails (the one he calls sex on the beach is a must try) and pizza. It was our stay of four years ago that has lead us to come back to this wonderful place and this time we stayed for the month and has left now being considered family. I highly recommend Aeolos Appartments as your next adventure of the real natural Greece.

A little pieces of natural paradise on Mavarovouni Beach in Gytheio

We had a short stop-over for one night and it was ok. Our impression was, that everything in the room was old. Especially the bathroom was a no go. It was very small and in our opinion not too clean. Maybe that‘s the reason why the room itself was very cheap. You can go by foot to the beach. That‘s nice for a short swim.

Ok for one night

We stated 2 nights at this small HOTEL and we loved it so much. The rooms were very very clean and it has a nice view over the olives groove. The small kitchen inside of the room had everithing that we needed . The owner help us not just with our accommodation, but also with advices about what to do in the area. She even gave us as map, which was a big help for us.  We highly recommend it and we should visit it again for sure.
