We loved this small family hotel. The staff were excellent - helpful  and polite .. it feels like a family home. The breakfasts consisted of home made jams and bread which were truly delicious . Close walk to the busy beach ! Yet the villa is set in an oasis of calm . 

Excellent 

Staying at the Archontiko Angelou was an absolutely fabulous experience. The charming mansion with the high ceiling rooms, the marvelous garden (that provides many of the veggies and fruits for the wonderful vegan-only breakfast), and above all, the host and owner, Marianna, really made my stay there unforgettable. This is authentic Greek hospitality at its best.  Very highly recommended - both the property, but also the island of Leros that has surpassed my expectations by a wide margin.  Great beaches and beautiful landscapes, amazing restaurants, impressive architecture.  Perhaps one shouldn't give such rave reviews so as not to attract more people on the island.

fabulous property on a massively underrated island

We were 3 girl friends who stayed 3 nights in August and enjoyed not only our rooms but also the location and wonderful breakfast served in the garden under the shade of the leaves of the giant trees.
The nights were also very quiet although the house was full of guests.
We also appreciated that Mariana arranged the taxi pick-up at the port and gave us contact details of moto rentals. The "home delivery" of the bikes was also a fantastic gift for our holiday! We will definitively go back!

Charming & peaceful sanctuary near the seaside

The final leg of our Greek island holiday took us to the island of Leros and the Archontiko Angelou, a delightful19th century villa in Alinda behind the seafront! It was the uniqueness of the property that immediately caught my attention as well as the  homemade culinary offerings! Marianna, the owner, is a charming hostess who is on hand each day attending to the needs of her guests! We loved it here and will return soon!

Peaceful Retreat in a Bygone Era

This old house has been in the family for decades, and Marianne the owner has added gentle wholesome touches to render any stay exquisite - from the lovely shady garden, to the hand-made soap and shampoo. The breakfast deserves it's great reputation : home made preserves including the famous lemon curd, preserves from the garden, all delicious, freshly squeezed glasses of fresh fruit juice, blended to perfection. And then the bread - several kinds, all made on the premises, with local seed cake - the list goes on! Splendid coffee in copious amounts - we felt like just staying there and enjoying the ambience!

Wonderful experience, truly cared for!

Archontiko Angelou is a unique place, run by a very special person. the property is an old summer house that belongs to the family. The house and surrounding grounds are renovated full of charm with a skillful hand and a loving heart. The attention and service were impeccable. Mrianna helped us sort everything we needed on the Island. Breakfast was a delight - Marianna prepares almost from scratch - breads, jams and more. The stay at Archontiko Angelou was definitely an important part of our amazing experience on the island. When we return to Leros, we will be staying at Archontiko Angelou again!

A Gem of Leros

If you love to stay off the beaten where you can feel part of the history of a place and appreciate traditional attention to detail in terms of hospitality and decor this is the place for you.
Leros may not be the most beautiful Greek lsland but is is a real working island with people going about their business not all focused on tourism. It has many beautiful quiet beaches though and tradional as well as more modern tavernas and bars. There are a few small historic sites (not spectacular but you will be there on your own most likely) and lots of tiny chapels dotted along hills and beaches. 
Car hire is easy and everyone very friendly. 
Marianna our host was very gentle, present and helpful without being in you face. We spent 9 days in her lovely family house and mostly had it to ourselves. We did feel totally at home and not as if we were in a hotel. All very personal including the serving of breakfast during which we were introduced to various new vegan and vegetarian goodies. Don't expect eggs and bacon but if you are open minded about how tasty vegan food can be it is a perfect choice.

Peace and tranquility in a beautiful old mansion on a 'real' Greek island

we stayed in this b&in for 7 night! We felt like at home! The rooms are very nice! We had booked the suite with 2 bedrooms on the first floor. The suite was spacius and very very charming . Situated on the first floor with windows on al sides it was very fresh even if in the hotel there is no air conditioning. We also had another room on the ground floor for our child and her nanny. 
This place is also great if you have small child. The owner showed us the kitchen in the garden were we could cook at night for our baby. 
Every morning we had breakfast in the beautiful garden with all home made juices, bread, muffin, marmalade! 
Great experience! I will go back again! 
If you are looking for a traditional hotel in all senses it is not your place! If you are looking for a house situation, charming place, home feeling then you will love it! 
1st floor rooms are the nicest!!

We felt like at home!

It is a beautiful old building with a lovely garden where yiu can have your delicious breakfast. Owner Marianna is a very nice lady. She is friendly and very helpful. We had a small problem with our room but she solved it quickly. When you compare with other regular hotels in Leros it has a particular wibe. It is a little bit expensive but strongly recommended.

Beautiful building close to Alinda beach

We were a Family of four who stayed four Nights at this lovely bed and breakfast hotel. The breakfast was a dream and the ambience of the Place was very peaceful and inspiring. The proprietess gave us good ideas for places to visit in Leros. The Alinda Beach in only 400 m away, but if you go further the beaches are even better. Never seen waters as turquoise as on the Leros' beaches. The only downside With the hotel was that the toilet made some noise after you flushed. However, we did not find this too annoying.
