I really  don't want to leave a review  for fear of this little  piece of paradise being 'over ridden' 
Just perfect! Diona our owner so lovely/ helpful/ friendly along  with the extended family  that gather every  evening! Very clean thanks to Tatiana also, this place is absolute  heaven!
20metres to the beach, lovely  restaurants next door especially  ARIDAS PALACE  ! 
Sunbeds provided. I would like to reiterate these apartments are unsuitable for large groups! Apartments  sleep 2/3 and these are very peaceful/quiet.

I’ve just returned with my 19 year old daughter from the charming Diona Studios which is only steps away from the wonderful Lourdas beach.
We were there for 10 fantastic nights and had a wonderful time! 
Diona is a delight; always smiling and stops to say ‘hello’ whenever she sees you. 
The studios are in a great location on Lourdas Beach, set back a little down a path with gorgeous flowers on one side and a vegetable garden on the other.
There are 6 studios all with sea view. We were upstairs and had a balcony out the front which looked out to sea. 
The studio was spotlessly clean, light and airy and had all the necessary amenities such as 2 ring hob, fridge with a freezer section at the top, pots, pans, cutlery, glasses etc and we also had a sandwich maker which we used loads! Diona also provides toilet paper, washing up liquid, washing sponges and tea towels so no need to bring those.
Air-con was provided feee of charge and was a godsend as it was in the 40s for the first week of our stay!!!
The beds were really comfy and there was ample wardrobe and cupboard space; even for 2 females!!! 
Diona even provides sunbeds and beach umbrellas which you can help yourself to from the front of the property.
This was our 9th visit to Lourdas but our 1st to Diona and we would absolutely stay again !

Perfect from start to finish. Nothing was to much of a problem for Romana if asked about something. Welcomed with a huge smile and very friendly. Apartment was spotlessly clean and cleaner was regular to the point of overly efficient which wasn’t a issue. Would highly recommend Romona’s apartments in Lourdata. A short work to beach, Bars, shop and local restaurants.

Stayed for a week at this lovely place, its very clean and just six studio apartments, quiet and relaxing with a lovely balcony. Extras such as sunbeds and umbrellas which you can take down to the beach were much appreciated. The area is beautiful, very relaxed if you are looking for a restful holiday, you will need a car if you wish to explore but plenty of walks, tavernas and the beach and sea right in front of you. We will come back to stay again at this hidden gem. Would recommend a walk to Sisia Monastery and there is a bus from the beach at 08.50am that takes you to Argostilli. The bus back is at 2pm.

I was reluctant to write a review for this place, because I want to be able to book next year!! Lovely studios right on the beach front, would prepare a coffee, go for a morning swim and 100 steps back to the balcony to enjoy it! The studios have loads of umbrellas and sun beds so you can take them down for free which is a big money saver! Jona the lady who owns and runs and cleans the apartment is an absolutely brilliant character. She speaks no English except for ‘no problem’ which is all she needs to say because nothing is too much for her. I loved it so much I booked an extra week! See you next year, Diona Studios!

A perfect location with the beach on your doorstep. The family ran apartments are clean and spacious. The balcony is an excellent size and ideal location for coffee in the morning. The apartments are tucked off the main road and therefore allows some privacy too. The family have been so welcoming and have been available to answer any questions when needed. Highly recommend this studio for couples or small families. Would definitely book here again. 

Good news: you can stop googling now for the perfect accommodation on Kefalonia. Here it is: Diona Studios. The pros:

- just 128 paces to the beach (many other studios in Lourdata are located up a very steep road in the upper village)
- gorgeous sea view from first floor balconies
- extraordinarily cheap - just €43 per studio per night
- friendly, family run business
- located on a very quiet road
- numerous lovely tavernas within five minutes walk
- shaded car port 
- free sunbeds and umbrellas
- clean and fresh accommodation with small kitchenette
- an easy 20-minute drive from the airport with nowhere on the island further than 90 mins away
- sheets and towels changed twice a week and bin emptied daily
- wi-fi (although weak)
- air conditioning (works well).

The cons? Well, nothing significant. The shower head is a bit wonky on the wall and the fan makes a racket.

You can't book online but don't let that put you off. The owner responds promptly to emails. After a few exchanges I booked then paid in cash during the week. All very informal but I think that's how it works in Greece. The owner's mother seems to run the studios on a day-to-day basis and is friendly and helpful despite speaking very little English. Her daughter manages bookings, speaks good English and is available on the mobile if you have queries.

(We stayed at the Ramona Studios for the last night. Slightly higher standard accommodation but a tiring, very steep walk to the beach so no comparison to Diona for us.)

We have been to two other studios in the vicinity but we have to say that these are the most well cared for and friendly. The location could not have been better - beach is at the end of the beautiful garden and there are really good tavernas a short stroll away.  The owner was so lovely she gave us tomatoes and cucumber from the garden, there was clean bedding every 3 days and the bins were emptied daily.  Service was second to none.  we will be returning! Oh! almost forgot - includes free a/con and wifi!

You need to prepare good shoes to walk to the beach and for a meal but it's absolutely worth !!!

We stayed for a week at the Diona studios having originally booked the Ramona studio. We had requested a high level twin room with sea views, on arrival we were offered a choice of low level double rooms some with not so good views. The rooms were very clean with all the facilities needed but really very small with minimal storage space. Not being the hand luggage only type of travellers and just having spent a week in Sammi the space available we didn't consider to be  adequate for us.
The host was really nice and understanding and offered us a room at the Diona studios for an increased charge. She drove us down to view them and we accepted the change without hesitation.
The studios stand in a block of six right on the beach. They are spacious with more than enough storage space. Very clean with free air conditioning and a very good WiFi system. 
The balconies have an adequate privacy screen between them with a view across the garden to the sea.
There is undercover parking for cars and sun beds and umbrellas are available to take onto the beach, again free of charge.
There are plenty of eating places along the beach within easy walking distance and a small supermarket which stocks all the daily essentials for self catering guests.
Would recommend these studios to others.

A hidden gem in an ideal location! 

Outstanding accommodation

This was our second visit as a couple to the Diona studios. This time we were located on the second floor which added to the view from the balcony. The rooms are spacious and well equipped for self catering although the nearest we get to that is boiling the kettle 😀.There is free air conditioning and adequate wardrobe space. There is undercover car parking (actually under grape vines)but it keeps the car cool. Free sunbeds and umbrellas are available to use on the beach. Recomended.
