Dioni Hotel

My wife and I stayed 2 nights, arriving by rental car at noon and parking in their lot. Driving is difficult with lots of traffic, narrow streets and little parking but we followed Google Maps to the hotel. The nice English speaking receptionist had us fill out an ID form then gave us a choice of rooms on the 2nd or 3rd floor. We decided on #203 with its renovated/outfitted bathroom with nice soaps (stall shower, quick hot water and towel warmer), wardrobe with refer, firm queen with very firm pillows(requested soft ones were delivered) and desk with stool and chair. The wall TV(excellent reception of mostly Greek channels(BBC, Open Beyond shows and m.TV movies in English). An insulated door opened to a balcony with a table and chairs that overlooked rambling tile roofs. The secure room WIFI was fine, 3 room outlets, hand clicker controlled AC/heat unit and a heat register. The 7:30 AM breakfast buffet was satisfactory with juice, yogurt, oats, corn flakes, bread, hard boiled eggs, meats/cheeses and pound cakes with good normal coffee. This is a clean, quiet, older 114 room city center hotel offering good value with an accommodating staff and treasured private parking.
