The property was appropriate for its price point.  The rooms were fairly clean but outdated.The landscaping was nice and well taken care of. Unfortunately, after a long day of travel, no one was at the property to let us in even though we arrived during check in hours and we were unable to get a hold of the property manager.  We decided to try to get a room at another hotel where the staff went above and beyond to help us contact the owners of this property.  Getting into our room should not have been this difficult and better communication about check in would have been appreciated.

I liked the quaintness and quietness.  It is decorated very well and give thr homely feeling.  I did not like all the steps especially since i had a 23 kilo suitcase to carry.  Cristina was very frienfly and spoke english well.

A nice small hotel with kind people and clean rooms.
I arrived late night with train and I had to walk about 1 km from the train station to the hotel. It's on a quiet area.
The room key waited me on the tresor as they promised and I found my room without problem.
The breakfast was good, the personnel friendly, but the room has an old smell, like it was built 100 years ago.
The internet is very slow.

Good place for short term visit

We were flying out of Frankfurt airport and wanted a hotel in Hanau our last night to visit relatives who lived in Hanau. This is a small, inexpensive lovely hotel with a breakfast buffet and off street parking that served our needs well. The room was small but big enough with a friendly owner. Hanau is a nice little town. It was the birthplace of the storytellers, the Brothers Grimm, and provides quick easy access to the autobahn connecting Hanau and Frankfurt airport. It takes about 20-25 minutes to reach the airport. There are many hotels closer to the airport, but you will pay a big premium for lodging.

Great Find

We arrived in the mid- to late-afternoon. We were visiting extended family in Hanau. Didn't have GPS and it took a little while finding. In fact, on the street I had to ask for further directions. I do speak German so that helped. You do have to walk up (with your luggage) about 20-30 stairs (I didn't count).  The owner was very kind and accommodating.  She has a son who is currently in the states, maybe even in our area in Utah, so we had that to chat about. She gave us the room on the top floor, so there were two more flights of stairs to walk up, with our luggage. There were three huge, I mean HUGE, windows that all could be opened. To get the fresh wind, it was incomparable. The room was very large with four beds in it, and a very large bathroom. We went out for the evening to our engagement with family in Hanau, and returning in the dark we didn't have trouble.  The breakfast in the morning was superb, and just the type of Pension breakfast I remember from the 1960s when I lived in Germany and experienced these pensions all over the Germanic countries.  The breakfast room is delightful.  At first glance, it is a very modern addition to the original house, but sitting in it close to the windows, it is great.  I would stay there again if I had need to.

Good Overnight for Visiting Hanau

We have been staying here many times over the years any time we visit Frankfort Always it is clean and people are most patient and helpful Ms Fleischman is a wonderful host and can not do enough to make our stay perfect

An oll time favorite for many years

Stayed there for a night before a return flight to US. A small family run hotel. Furnishings modern and very well kept up-- very clean and tidy and showed a lot of owners pride in the way it was maintained. Room size was pretty standard for Germany-- not overly big but adequate for a night or two. Had english CNN on TV. Very clean and modern bathroom. It is about 20 minutes to the airport (longer if there is a stau (traffic jam). Under the approach to one of the runways so it can be noisy during the day with the windows open, but slacks off a lot at night so we had no problem sleeping with windows open. On a residential street so traffic noise was not a big problem.
Breakfast was good but not outstanding.
Only drawback is that you have to go up a lot of outside steps to reach reception and their hours are not continuous during the day. So- make sure you coordinate arrival time with  their reception hours and don't drag your luggage up before you find out what room you have. Also-- no restaurants really close, but a very good bakery about three blocks away. First free hot pot  and tea and coffee service I have seen in a small hotel in Germany!
A decent place and I will definitely consider staying here on our next trip.
