This inn does not have front desk.  I arrived at the inn by 6p.m. I could not get in. There was words displaced to call a phone number to contact the hotel. I did not have local phone. How can I contact them. Fortunately a roomguest just passed by and he helped me contact the hotel by phone.

No check in attendant after hours but received check in instructions and door code numbers via email for after hours check in, very convenient

Pleasant Stay

I booked 2 rooms for 2 couples, however, 01 room was in the basement and the must smell was strong. One room was prepared for a single, with only 01 pillow and 1 towel. It was 00:30hs and we had to call the 24 hs service. We got the second pillow and towel but, it was not possible to change the room in the basement. Iam allergic and if I stayed there, I would have to go to the hospital. Definitely, that room cannot be rented or a notice should be included before booking and the price should be lower.

Musty basement room

The hotel is located in an area that does not offer any facilities, you depend on transport for everything, restaurants, cafes, the supermarket etc.  
Positive: The room was very clean and renovated.  
I was at this hotel for one night, while travelling to another holiday destination. 
The receptionist is the owner's daughter and was extremely rude, with no skills for the task. There was a problem opening the door to my room, some guests next door also had difficulties.
I can't recommend this hotel.

This time i am not satisfaid, no WIFI connection, no breakfast at all, and the room 10 USD more costs than March

The stay was the worst so far on our trip.  My motto is you choose expensive and close or  less expensive but further away.  For this hotel, I chose a hotel further away from the city center and friends and less expensive.  The only important factor for me was WiFi.  The breakfast was Meh, the hotel was older, but fine; the front desk was nice.  But the the WiFi was horrible!!!!!!  It was my only non-negotiable and it riding work!  I couldn’t change hotels, cause I already paid for the week.  But the hotel and hotel.com did not deliver as promised.  I was stuck in a foreign country with no way to reach anyone:(. Other downsides, tv froze all the time, people smoking right in front of the entrance, front desk closed after 2pm (so no help or security) and rowdy guests after midnight.  If there are this many issues, then you should be able to cancel the rest of the reservation.  I booked at a different hotel, that cost a little more, for a few extra days and was a lot happier.  I am very disappointed in the hotel and hotels.com for the inaccurate description.  A picture is worth a thousand words.  The outside matches the inside:(

Cheap price, Horrible stay!

Simple rooms, simple and poor breakfast, nothing special. We spent several days in this hotel, it is clean, but everything very simple. For stay of few night , if you do not need something special- ok, otherwise it is not good choice.

Bamberg Inn hotel

We stayed here for one night while visiting Bamberg. Excellent location only 15 minutes by bus to centre of Bamberg then easy 10 minute walk to Rathaus & other sites. Clean & comfortable with a good breakfast offered on site. Would definitely recommend. 

Great affordable hotel

we had booked  (2 rooms for oe night) on-line for this property.  Inadvertenelty we booked the wrong night.  I noticed the error within 30 seconds, and contacted them right away to request a change.  Was advised that our booking was "non refundable"....even though the reservation was made months in advance.   the online booker (bookimg.com) told me they asked if the hotel would make an exception and change our night.  NOPE - no exceptions....of course, the hotels was happy to offer to cancel the paid reservation (yuh, so they could re-sell), and take an additional reservation on the correct day! NO WAY.  we stayed at a lovely air bnb just outside bamberg for way less money....The original error was mine - OK, OK, it was a non refundable rate -  but really - sems awfully petty and spiteful.  To boot, my mistake date was on a long weekend, where they could have easily re-booked.  The correct date was the middle of the week when the hotel would have likely been emptier....
