Stadt-gut-Hotel Rheinischer Hof

5* as it is a budget hotel punching well above its weight. Compact rooms - but enough space and a proper wardrobe with shelves. Compact shower room but everything is clean and works. NO LIFT. Quiet street 200m from UBahn, buses and trams plus many shops and restaurants. Dinner in summer, but does not seem available in winter - but excellent Greek restaurant 50m down on same street. The breakfast is unbelievable. I counted 50 dishes on the counter - some with 5 items on them. So a choice of 4-5 fish, many fruit, cheeses, salads, cooked meats ,cakes and six hot items with cooked vegetables, bacon, egg etc. I have not come across a better one! Lovely friendly staff. English spoken.
