We have been there for 10 days. Mrs. Kirner was very nice. She does not speek English, but we managed to understand each other. We had big room with baclony and bath with shower and an en-suit toilet. Everything was very clean. Breakfast was basic but fine. Location is really good. It is very peacefull and quiet. In generall, we were very sattisfied and would book it again.

Been there in May 2012. We stayed for about a week. We had a big room with a small kitchen. Our bath had a shower and an en-suit toilet. All was very clean. Please note that the owners do not speak English or French...and the cleaning isn't done daily. We were pleased by the services and would book again: it wasn't luxury but it worth the money we paid.

Okay to stay for a quick stop, would not recommend to stay for few nights, the owner didn’t speak English, glad that a men (friend of Mrs. Kirner) welcomed us on behave of the owner, he recommended some restaurant nearby. The room was simple and the breakfast was okay. 

Good value of money. 

We stayed here underway to Croatia. The room is fine: clean, spacious and outdated but quaint. Breakfast is served at 0745 whether you are present or not even though breakfast is between 0800 and 0900. Room can be paid in cash only!! Mrs Kirner is not the most endearing person in the world, using a British understatement. 

Fine for one night stay over

This was a clean and comfortable stop during a long drive. Large room with bath and balcony, and just off the motorway. Simple but adequate breakfast with a bright painted egg (hard boiled and edible). No internet. The owner gave us a good recommendation for a dinner restaurant. Good value and we might stay there again for a night on the way.

Convenient and pleasant

We stayed here in September 2012. - This was only a stop-over, we selected it because it was conveniently close to the motorway, and reasonably priced. This is an older property. Mrs. Kirner told me she had been running it for 40 years - and it shows: it seems to be the original decor in green and gold. But all was very clean, and the beds comfortable. The breakfast was typical, but very adequate, served individually by Mrs. Kirner, who also assigned the seating there. She "rules" her domain with a stern demeanor, but I wouldn't call it unfriendly. I do speak German, so the language was no problem.  HOWEVER, we reserved a room with en-suite bath, and while it had a shower in the room, the tiny toilet was OUTSIDE in the hall!!  The toilet served only our room, so it could be termed "private" but this was extremely uncomfortable. When asked about changing the room, we were refused. I would have given a 3 point rating if it wasn't for the toilet.

clean, but...

Stayed here for one night and have never encountered such an ignorant host in many years of travel. She made it quite clear that her only interest is money up front. Her communication skills are deplorable and she should really give up the ‘hospitality’ industry. The room itself, single attic room, is perfectly adequate if you inhabit the Shire of Hobbiton. I managed to bang my head on the ceiling on numerous occasions. The separate bathroom is even less generous and requires the dexterity of Olga Korbett to navigate the shower within the bath. It is a shame that the actions of this individual soured my experience as Bad Feilnbeck is a lovely town. Just don’t stay at the Bates Morel as Norman’s mother still resides there.

Rude, unwelcoming owner, hobbit sized room.

Visiting Gaestehaus Kirner became my nightmare during my stay in Germany. As an orthopedic surgeon invited to visit Schon Klinik Harthausen in Bad Aibling I made reservation in this house from 5 to14 October 2015. I arrived after 16 ours traveling at 10 am but the owner did not let me to entry the room and I waited in the garden until 2 pm. When I went in the room there was freezing because the heater did not work. I asked the owner but she was very unpleasant with me and she did not want to talk about that. I was very disappointed and I decided to leave the room, but she did not allow me to go until I paid 230 euros for the reservation. I could not stay any more so I paid the money and I went away. I stayed on the street at 8 pm and it was very hard for me to find another hotel at that time. I do not recommend to anyone to visit that house because it is a real disaster.
