We had a good stay with simple but clean room with comfy bed and loads of character. Only thing that marred the trip was that booking confirmation stated private parking at 6 euros per day. This was not the case and when  we queried it we were told we could use the supermarket carpark opposite (payable) or at the main hotel  in the town  centre which was not ideal with luggage and was 10 euros per day

Lovely little town and room with character

Clean basic hotel for a visit to the Nürburgring. The rooms on the backside of the hotel are very quiet.Breakfast is great at the bakery across the street. There are restaurants all over Adenau. We will be back.


Great for a quick stay

The hotel "Zum Wilden Schwein" is the "dependence" of the hotel " Die Blaue ecke" in Adenau. The reason of our trip was visiting the area of the Nurburgring. The rooms are clean and basic. The door of the bathroom was not possible to close but the shower was OK. For the breakfast we were forged to go to the hotel "Die Blauwe Ecke", only two minutes’ walk. The meals in the evenings where also basic but not too bad. We had some nice walks in the surrounding woods and the man in the reception was of great help pointing out some possibility's.

Nice trip if you like the area.

This hotel is perfect if you like the rural German stereotype. Lots of wood, basic rooms, friendly service. But it does need decent curtains, I've never been to any hotel room that let in so much light, with pathetic blinds on the rooflights.

Service was good - but it is on the pricey side.

Traditional, basic but pricey

Nice location in the village centre, with allocated parking right outside; important if you're on a visit to the very nearby Nurburgring. Rooms clean, with quirky built in pine furniture. Lying on the bed, looking up, it felt like being on board a ship in the 1700s. 

I'd happily stay there again and it's ideal if you're after a traditional German experience.
