Everything was excellent.  Our plane was late but someone was still there to pick us up.  The breakfast was so enjoyable.  The bread was so amazing.  Fantastic cheese, there was banana chocolate chip cake.  I try to be careful with what I eat and if I eat sweets I am disappointed if it isn’t good because of the calories.  This cake was the best cake I have ever eaten in my life.  The only thing I can imagine is that the gods made it in heaven and don’t get me started with the fantastic coffee.  Plus plenty of healthy fresh fruit.  Every one was so nice and I will be back!

A wonderful place to stay.

Our second stay at Fare Suisse.  There's a reason we returned.  The proprietors are very helpful with arrival and departure from the airport and ferry.  They offer a place to store luggage when you have a late flight and even a shower that you can use so you can feel free to enjoy your day and still be refreshed when it's time to catch your flight.  On top of that, there's a lovely terrace for drinks and meals, reasonable priced and delicious breakfast and a happy hour to watch the sunset over Papeete.  Rooms are basic, but comfortable and a great value.

Our second visit

Very simple but everything you need. The owners are great and Beni's homemade bread with breakfast is to die for. Very good location.  They have added a limited menu for dinner which is nice. Free pickup and dropoff at the airport or port.  Would certainly stay here again. 

A great B&B in Papeete, Tahiti. 

Stayed only one night on arrival in Tahiti before leaving for Moorea.
Fantastic value for money.
Met at the airport and taken to the very nice accommodation. So clean, comfortable bed and good shower.
Fantastic breakfast, bread was amazing.
All staff were welcoming .
Transfer to ferry next morning.
Would definitely recommend and stay again.

Excellent place to stay

remoteness and quiet, like on a deserted island by yourselfbut not helpless, areas to explore on your own or with a group to far side of island. Be a beach comber.

The place is great for a quick overnight layover option. Very basic but clean. Has a decent small restaurant too, especially good for late arrival. The place runs efficient free airport transfer, a 10 min ride, although our early morning transfer was a bit too hectic, making it a close call.

Good layover option

Excellent. We were picked up from the airport upon arrival, taken to the boat and had a 30 min ride to the hotel. Initially we were concerned of remote location but it didn’t matter: the hotel provides everything you need, dinner is just $US 15 pp and very tasty. They provide breakfast and all day tea and (instant) coffee. You can buy good Nespresso, wine and beer and the price is average for FP. We liked it so much that extended our stay to six nights. Try to get a lagoon bungalow (more breeze and gorgeous view from the room). The bungalows have just been repaired and everything is brand new and clean. They send a boat daily to the village to pick up tourists and buy groceries, do you can get to the village easily if you want to. Or you can snorkel and fish right from the beach. Bring lots of mosquito repellent! They are doing good job to keep them away in the restaurant and the room are equipped with the screen doors but there are lots of mosquitoes in FP. The owner helped us with booking the Blue lagoon tour (which we loved!) Very relaxed and happy atmosphere

Relaxed and happy hotel. Beautiful views.

Fare Suisse is a small family-run hotel in a great location.  No frills, but rooms are immaculate and the much needed air conditioning unit was quiet and worked well.  Staff are friendly and helpful.  Breakfast is simple but satisfying.  Complimentary shuttle service between airport and/or ferry or cruise ship dock is a real advantage.  Because of it's small size, we conversed with other guests, which made the experience even better. This is a well-run hotel that is perfect for a 2-3 night layover.

Small & Simple - A Great Choice

We stayed here for the day prior to departing for our night flight back to the states after our Windstar cruise. It totally met our needs with a comfortable room and a free shuttle back to the room. There was a bit of confusion about our reservation but that was quickly cleared up. There was a supermarket just down the street and we got ingredients for our lunch there.  Would recommend as a reasonably priced day room.

Served purpose well

Owners were gracious hosts. Walking distance to shops and restaurants although bit of an uphill climb going back. Budget friendly place to stay when traveling alone

Rooms are small but very clean and good enough for a solo traveler trying to stay on a budget.  The food on the terrace is excellent and Beni's french bread is outstanding.  

The only issue I have with Fare Suisse is the WiFi.  Unless your room is very close to the terrace, you won't have WiFi
