It was a great place and the location was awesome. The rooms were very comfortable and it was wonderful opening the door to go out and sit at the table and chairs on the deck. The pool area was beautiful and so relaxing . Everyone there were just wonderful and so helpful.

Girls weekend

We had 8 nights at le Richelieu and we loved it. It is a very nicely-restored traditional French home. 

We had the upstairs room facing onto the street - a great situation.

Yannick is a very welcoming hostess and went out of her way to make our stay a very memorable one - including sourcing a number of interesting cheeses to offer us at breakfast. 

Yannick is full of energy, despite recovering from a broken arm!

Breakfast is served at the large table in the kitchen and included juice, coffee, croissants, bread etc. Very filling and set us up for the day's activities. 

Typically we would go out and visit places in the morning before the heat of the day built up; then bring our own lunch back to the hotel and spend the afternoon by the beautiful pool. The gardens are beautiful and it is a tranquil oasis.

There is so much to see in Uzes and in the region around it - nothing is far away. Yannick offered us suggestions daily for visits and restaurants. All good suggestions, I might add!

Le Richelieu is very centrally-located and is 300 meters or so from the central square. 

Yannick offers off-street parking at a location about 500 - 600 meters from her place.

Great place, wonderful location and welcoming  hostess!

We stayed here in 2015 and had a fantastic experience--even though we were placed across the street in a property for sale. A realtor walked in on us in our room and late at night another guest entered the building, passing our room, but happily not entering it (No lock). We found Yannick to be delightful and gracious albeit a bit disorganized.

I contacted her again in December of 2016 to secure rooms for our group of 8, arriving this summer. She was very warm and friendly and confirmed she had the availability. Then, I contacted her again in June to re-confirm and she stated she only had 1 of the nights available, not both. This left us hustling, last minute, to find something else in that small town. So beware: she does not take deposits and you may not have the reservation you think you do.

Hospitality at Le Richelieu

We had a great stay that was originally just for two nights, but we stayed for a week.
Yannick and her son made us very welcome when we arrived and throughout our stay.
The room was very comfortable and warm and we really enjoyed being there!

Short stay before moving into our apartment

We stayed here for two nights, as a base for our visit to the cave at Vallon Pont d'Arc.  We had a very very warm welcome from our hostess, Yannick, and she could not do enough for us.  The building itself dates back, we think to the 1600s, and there is a former hostellerie a few doors further up the street, which boasts a 3 night stay from Cardinal Richelieu himself!  It was indeed a very 3 musketeer sort of large village.  It's all very quirky, with lots of swifts or martins nesting at the tops of the walls, and lots of open balconies (very Romeo and Juliet!).  I think she only has 3 rooms to offer, and these rooms are, again, very quirky.  One of the rooms has a shower in the bath, so if you have difficulty with mobility, make sure you ask for the room that doesn't have the bath.  Breakfasts (tradtional French style and lovely fresh bread and croissants!)  are great, and Yannick was kind enough to get us (especially for us two) a jar of decaf coffee, as we don't drink the caffeinated variety!  She does not provide any toiletries (contrary to what we had been told on our paper booking confirmation from a well-known hotel bookings website.  Parking can be provided, but you have to ask in advance, and it costs extra, but we didn't even know where it was, so we parked in the public carpark, about 10 minutes walk away from the hotel. (that was free).  Wi-fi is free, and the signal was quite good.  Provision of towels wasn't very generous, but we asked for a few more and Yannick was very happy to provide us with some more.  We were even able to use her kitchen to make hot drinks if we wanted, which was a great extra.  She has a lovely garden which guests can use.  Yannick has three dogs, who are very friendly and one of them seemed to really enjoy sitting on my lap for ages!  The room at the "front" of the house, can be very noisy, but it seemed to quieten down at night ...  All in all, we had a really great stay.
