Clean, safe, convenient stop over hotel.
Very clean rooms with everything you need for a night. We asked for two adjacent rooms to account for our family and that was arranged. We called ahead as traffic meant we were arriving close to the 21.00 last check in time and everything was smooth on arrival. Very easy to find just off the A5 and parking is semi secure and directly outside your room door. There is a system they operate for breakfast which is sensible and keeps service slick - take a seat and things will be brought for you - it’s not a buffet.
All in all a good experience and made our long drive home from South of France to Calais comfortable. Not quite sure what the ‘bio’ bit means as there is no obvious bio element - installation of car chargers might tick that box.

Clean, safe, convenient stop over hotel.

I have never been spoken to in such a rude manner in my entire life!  
At the time of booking, I indicated we would arrive around 9pm (we actually arrived at 9:04). The manager phoned me twice in the proceeding half hour to ask where we were. 
The room was perfunctory and ok, although other than the wood cladding on the outside of the building, I don’t know what makes it ‘eco’.
Breakfast was interesting - a buffet, but Madame insisted on serving us and I had a row for helping myself to coffee. Disappointingly, there were no dairy-free options, which seems as odds with the ‘eco’ selling point.
The tin hat though was the absolutely appalling way in which the Monsieur spoke to me. We had the audacity (!) to bring my husband’s very expensive bike in our room with us for safety. We were already settled for the night and the Monsieur knocked on the door, shouted at me in French with all sorts of expletives because we had the bike in our room. Unfortunately for Monsieur, I speak French and understood every word and was able to defend myself rather admirably.  His antics were repeated on my husband prior to leaving too. 
Needless to say, we will not return to pay to be subjected to such aggressive and rude behaviours, and I strongly recommend that urgent customer service training is provided to the managers.

Customer service is non existent!

Our family of five stayed at this motel last Saturday in two adjoining rooms. We were unable to use one of the rooms as the main light/fan above the bed would not turn off, or even down. There was a loose wire hanging from it and the light continually wobbled. No one answered our many calls and email and no one was at reception, even though they were supposed to be open until 10pm. We were unable to use the room to sleep. The next day we told the owner/manager about the broken light and he was aggressive and dismissive. The woman in charge (his wife?) came to see us and was at first apologetic. But as soon as we asked for a refund for the unused room she said we should pay them for their broken light/fan! Both were incredibly rude and we won’t be going back.

Basil Fawlty in Semoutiers

We decided to not drive to the south of France in one go and stop over for a night somewhere in the middle. Instead of booking an Ibis or something like that we decided to check this place out. The motel is located a little bit from the motorway but still easy to find.

The hotel itself looks modern and different from the average roadside motel and you can park your car in front of your room. The rooms are basic, comfortable and clean. Because of its location it's very quiet at night as well.

If you arrive late you do need to contact them before as the reception is closed at night. In our case we were given the code for the gate and they left the rooms unlocked with the keys inside.

Breakfast was a bit of a downer, the staff at hand was not as friendly as he could have been and the choices were a bit limited.

Better than your average stopover hotel

The motel was very clean and the lady at reception upon arrival was helpful. It did the job as a stopover after a long drive from Switzerland on the way back to the UK. Shower was nice and powerful too. It could be a little bit noisy, however. When we stayed there were also hundreds of little black flies swarming us any time we went outside which made it almost impossible to get anything from the car! This obviously isn’t the fault of the motel though, and I imagine can’t be helped due to being surrounded by crop fields. 

The only other negative, which I’ve read from previous reviews, was an extremely rude manager in the morning. We went to check out at around 10am (checkout time between 7am-11am) but there was nobody at the desk. I rang the bell a few times to no answer, so I went through to the breakfast area as there was a man cleaning up (I think he was the manager), and unfortunately it seemed he didn’t speak any English nor did I speak French. I asked to check out and showed him the key and he just continued to say “ok” to anything I said, however I obviously wanted to make sure I was checked out properly as he didn’t even take our key. He then proceeded to go on a huge rant about me not speaking French (I speak Spanish, so I was able to get the gist of it), and he then stormed off to get the nice lady from the previous day, who checked us out no problem. If it hadn’t been for this extremely rude man, the stay would have been much better.

Clean and does the job, but...

Check in, rooms and location were all nice and clean and we were happy.
Unfortunately our stay was ruined thanks to an unbelievably rude man (I believe he was the manager who was in charge of breakfast and check outs?) The moment we stepped into the breakfast room he glared at us and spoke to us in French and clearly wasn’t impressed we didn’t speak French. Tried to not let it get to us until he kept scowling at us whenever he walked past our table. He was clearly unhappy that we had a baby who was happily eating and making a bit of a mess (as babies do). After a while he stopped and after attempting to communicate with us in French again resorted to English, looked at the crumbs on the floor and asked us if we were sorry?! He was so aggressive and I couldn’t quite believe he was actually serious so I questioned if he was being sarcastic. Unfortunately he really wasn’t. I can honest say I have never in my life been made to feel so awful when I’ve eaten somewhere with my children. We are a nice respectful family but babies do make a mess sometimes. I wasn’t aware this is a crime? I scurried to clean up the floor as I felt so embarrassed and ashamed. I didn’t get to finish my breakfast. I’m a busy tired mum trying to enjoy the first night of our trip and was made to feel awful and had to scurry around on the floor frantically trying to clean up. I shouldn’t have done it as I really hadn’t done anything wrong and he probably enjoyed making me so uncomfortable. 
There was no one to complain to as he was clearly the only staff working there. If it’s his hotel then extra shame on him for making his guests feel like that. If he works for the owners please please consider how this man is treating his guests. I am sure we are not the first or last to be made to feel this way. 
I will never ever stay at this hotel again due to this experience. Shame as it’s handy when travelling to the alps, and everything else was good for a nights stop over.
Another point to note is the breakfast was very disappointing. They claim their produce is organic according to the info in the rooms. Absolutely nothing organic or fresh at all in reality. Clearly they are ripping people off who opt for breakfast. Totally unacceptable to claim they serve organic produce. 

Awful awful rude manager!

We first stayed here not long after it opened and were impressed by the set up, fittings, and cleanliness. We returned and everything was still spotless. The breakfast was excellent, and the Les Routiers transport cafe was super for an evening meal (and walkable to!)

Still good

Basic, clean and comfortable.  Easy to reach from the autoroute and good for those breaking a journey to Germany or Switzerland.  Very friendly receptionist who kindly housed our bicycles in the large garage. Average WiFi which struggled at peak times. Breakfast - slightly more basic than an Ibis hotel which is simlilar in price. Overall good experience. Restaurants in nearby Chaumont largely closed- presumably for holiday period, but interesting viaduct.

Autoroute stopover

As a lone female traveller I was pleased with the welcome from the lady who welcomed me at reception and assured of the safety of my fully loaded vehicle in the car park overnight.  I ate supper at the transport cafe (for lorry drivers) which is situated next to the hotel. (The hotel does not do evening meals).   It was extremely clean, excellent value for money and I felt totally safe, fully recommend it.

Safe for a lone traveller

We stayed a night during our trip from Belgium to the French Alps. Well-located and easy to reach from the highway. Clean hotel with all that you would expect from this price-category (around €80 per double room). The breakfast for €10 was light but very decent. The quality of the pillows was my only issue (I needed two, but it was too late to ask...).
