We arrived late in the day, received a friendly welcome. Room was small but adequate, bedding & towels were freshly laundered, we were travelling with 3 spaniels which also received a warm welcome.

Only thing I liked was girl at front desk and the bed was comfortable - that’s it

Disgusting place. Owner Knocking on all door like a prison guard at 11 am.At check out he wanted to pick a fistfight, ignored him and left when he hit me with a bottle of water.Ranting and raging.Avoid this roach motel at s as n’y cost.

We weren't expecting much for the price and to be fair all we needed was a bed for the night on the drive home....BUT...
As we couldn't shut the door or the window we decided to look for something else.
This should not be available via booking.com
The only thing you can say is that I have been able to write this on the way to the Ibis.......

Walked in...walked out 

Very minimalist.  Clean, extremely simple, accessible, staff was very pleasant.  You can actually open the windows a little bit.  Breakfast was generous, but simple.  Bread was excellent!  And the staffer sent us off with an extra loaf!

Just fine for the price!

Stayed here to visit futureoscope. Good bit was friendly staff bad points very dirty very dark very poor shower very small room very bad area very unwelcoming very depressing. Give it a miss is probably the best advice or stay here at your peril



Terrible 

There are a lot of negative reviews for this property, which I don't agree with.
The hotel rooms and bathrooms are very small, and there is not really any storage space, however at only £35 for a night we really don't think you can complain. We had no issues with drainage odours and found the room to be clean and comfortable.
We knew upon booking the property it was a cheap, cheerful, no-frills option and expected no more than a bed to sleep in. Therefore we were very happy with our stay.

Staff were friendly and English was limited, but this was not a problem. They still managed to make sure we had a code to enter the hotel as we arrived very late after check-in had closed. Also very handy having a free car park right outside.

The bathroom is quite dated, but is clean and this would not stop me staying here again as for the money paid it was perfect!!

I think you just have to know what your reasons are for wanting to stay here. If you want a larger room with amenities, storage and mod cons then it isn't for you. If you are merely looking for a place to sleep mid-journey that is clean and comfortable enough then it is absolutely fine!!

For the price paid & the purpose of the stay it was fine!!

I'm shocked that this hotel is allowed to operate and that it can be booked on booking .com . The room is tiny and grey like a prison cell with one high window . The drains in the bathroom smell and the shower has no fixing . The wardrobe was a single hook on the wall with 2 hangers . There was barely enough room for one person let alone two . Very claustrophobic . The location of the hotel is on a busy main road so the noise from the traffic is constant . The breakfast was very good . That is the only positive thing I have to say about this way below standard establishment . 



Prison cell

The staff are great the breakfast good but the rooms are so small and very noisy, a smell of drains is unbearable and the shower is so small that you cannot manoeuvre it is also a hand held unit ,the towels are only the size of postage stamps, There is nowhere in the hotel to eat, the Bistro over a busy road is very good although it was all lorry drivers and in an a rather dodgy area for two women on their own. The fire escape is also blocked.
