Chambres d'Hôtes La Parenthèse

If you ever need a taste of paradise while in the north of France, this is it. A super charming (but jot small!) house near Lille offers everything you could want in a nice escape from the hustle of a major city. Unlike a hotel, you can spread out in one of the spacious bedrooms, feel free to enjoy a bathroom that’s bigger than some hotel rooms, and relax sitting on one of their couches upstairs in the spacious living room. Not to mention a pool, terrace, and backyard! The breakfast was awesome—traditional French breakfast with baguette, croissants, local/homemade jams, and good conversations with the ultra-friendly hosts. Just a short drive to the main central points of Lille (ask the hosts for their parking recommendations once in the city, very easy and convenient). Not everyday you’ll find yourself exploring the suburbs of Lille or even in the north of France, but this little “parentheses” is worth the detour.
