We spend one night, the 12 of us from 7 years  to 55 years old.
The quality of the food is below any expected level, especially for the price paid. No local products from the Savoy. As an aperitif, cold-very cold apple/orange juice cheap, made in now where.Creativity is not in the place ! The soup is a powder one, with just chest nuts added. Fondue really cheap. . Morning coffee quality is a scandal. Morning break is fully white, poor quality and "rigid". With all good products in the Alps, it is really a shame to propose those Supermarket cheap products 
The assisting guys in the igloo are really nice. This is the manager of this place who should be ashamed to offer this to tourists , especially foreigners. I am from Savoy , and french but also australian.

We never got to experience this as having muddled our way through the French language-only website, we paid upfront for dinner  (not the overnight stay) as the website claimed that this place was accessible from Les Arc 1950 where we were staying.   Once we arrive in 1950,  I went to book a taxi and I was horrified to find it was an hour and 45 minute drive and 150 EUR charge EACH WAY to get to La Plagne as the taxi has to go down the mountain to Bourg San Maurice and backup the other side!  Not feasible with children and really I would not say accessible.   Now that is something that is not clear on the website!   We complained and while they responded to emails, they refused a refund offering a discount on the overnight stay if we went the following year.  I get the feeling that this is not a very professional setup and they only like French speakers - very disappointing for sounded like a great idea.

Don't travel from Les Arcs 1950 or 2000 for dinner only despite what the website says

I do not know what was more hilarious - a welcoming and friendly dinner with other people sharing fondu and stories or the way back under the moon light in the mountains?
overall it was great. We only booked the dinner as we were not courageous enough to stay for the night. Note that it is not a real hotel - it is more an adventure. You come at 7pm, have a dinner joining other people, chatting and drinking hot wine and then you sleep in the linked igloo-room. 
we left at around 11pm and by luck the sky was clear and the moon was full, so we reached the Plagne Village but there I would recommend you reserve a taxi in advance coz we had to walk quite a bit till the Plagne Centre which I should say is quite dangerous since there is no pedestrian path.
Important you dress up warmly and be ready to walk for 20 min up the hill on the snow. I would recommend taking a light coz the phone gets crazy when it's cold.
Enjoy the experience as we did!

Unforgettable eperience

This was a fabulous adventure - to sleep in an igloo! The snowshoe walk at sunset and by starlight was the highlight. Our host Vincent was charming and so good with our 7 year old daughter. The igloo set up was amazing, like a rabbit warren with lots of rooms connected by low tunnels. The sleeping bags kept us warm through the night, and we were lucky enough to have our own room for the family.
Thank you to the team who looked after us, and were so friendly.

A magical experience

I organized a night in igloo with a group of friends in February 15.  Just for starters, the trail leading to the igloo village was simply great, as we did it with snowshoes, and had the view of the surrounding mountains all the way up to the igloo village.  The igloo village is far away from civilization (at least 20 or 30 minutes walk from Plagne Village), and you really feel like you are in a remote location far away from everything.... just snow, mountains, pure air, and the igloo village.  There were 6 igloos in the village plus a bigger igloo for the restaurant / bar.  There was a fire pit in the middle were we had our vin chaud, and a little wooden outhouse where you could go to the toilet (no plumbing installation by the way).  So we arrived, we were given the vin chaud and they explained how the igloo village was constructed, and then we moved into the bigger igloo were they had a big round table just for ourselves.  We then had a fondue savoyard (not the best I've had, but still ok), bread, trays of meat (salami, etc) and wine.  We then had a strong digestive at the end.  Once we finished eating we hang out by the fire pit, and some of us walked around the trails at night which was just illuminated by moonlight.  The views at night were fantastic, and when it came time to sleep in the igloos we felt warm enough.  There 5 people inside of the igloo, and we were sleeping on a mattress with bed sheets that were provided plus a sleeping bag.  We slept wearing one layer of clothing only and we felt warm enough for the most part.  The next day we woke up and found that it was snowing.  We had our  breakfast (cereal, bread and gelly, etc) and then we said our good byes and did a 1 hour snowshoe hike through the forest down to Plagne Centre.
