My husband chose this B&B as a stopover between Britanny and Germany and I couldn’t have been more pleased. After a long day driving it was nice to have a bit of luxury. Our room was beautifully decorated, with a nice mix of classic and modern. 

Beds were wonderful & we all slept well. 

The owner suggested a restaurant in town but also offered to order a pizza for us. We really appreciated this service.

Breakfast was simple but everything was delicious. I ate a second croissant because they were just so good.

Good choice

Don't let first impressions fool you this is a really great place to stay. Staff are really friendly, the rooms are all new and very comfortable. Although a little way from the centre of town and the restaurants, it's worth the 5 minute drive to get there. I can't recommend this highly enough !

A hidden gem

Booked online via booking.com & chose Les Ecuries due to the good reviews. Very glad that we did. Arrived for a 1 night stay with my mother & 2 small dogs after a 7 hour drive from a truly terrible "gite" near Louhans so we were hoping for a bit of luxury & this b&b provided it
As an earlier reviewer mentioned, the entrance & driveway is unpromising (especially on a grey, drizzly afternoon) but don't be put off. The host is charming, polite & extremely helpful & has clearly gone to great lengths to ensure that his establishment is something special. Our beautiful room - 4 - clearly had had no expense spared. Huge, spotless & tastefully decorated in beige, gold & cream it was a haven of tranquility with a large & super-comfy bed with snowy white linen.
Large fully tiled bathroom with enormous bath, walk in shower & we loved the stone wash basin. A hairdryer was also provided
Quiet & peaceful area, good wifi, ponies & goats at the bottom of the garden, so cute. We couldn't be bothered to go out again, so the owner kindly ordered us a pizza & we sat in the dining room. A very decent continental breakfast was served here the following morning, again all beautifully presented. It's the little things that really count & the attention to detail at Les Ecuries is outstanding

Highly recommended 

I hate the chains so when I'm driving to my cottage in France I tend to pick out of the way places with a bit of character. This place is relatively new, not much character but it's quiet and clean and has comfy beds and clean rooms etc. The chap who owns it met me outside and was really friendly and helpful, he speaks English and showed me around and offered to open up early for coffee in the morning as I want to be away before the 8am breakfast is served. He also gave me a pizza and sushi menu and offered to order for me should I want a takeaway delivering as the takeaway places don't speak English.... That's the sort of personal service I want from these places .... Don't get this at the chains. This place is close to the motorway but it is quiet and has ample private parking in case like me you have a loaded car, there's a large lounge with coffee making facilities, kiddies play area, he has horses and baby goats( think that's what he said!!!) 70 euro for a single traveller 80 for a couple, there's are people with children in tonight but I don't know what the accommodation and prises are for families.... Worth a look.

Small modern comfortable B&B with friendly owner

I chose this hotel as a base for a week-long tour of the Somme region, and couldn't have done better. 

The owner, Didier, was very welcoming and helpful in settling me in, and was as attentive as you'd want him to be, calling taxis, advising on weather or whatever. His English is as good as my schoolboy French, and we had no problems on that side. 

The hotel is modern, yet positioned in a tranquil spot with the local spring and lake at the bottom of the garden. The ponies were doing the lawn one morning too (!) which was a lovely sight from the breakfast room. 

At the price it's hard to fault it.
