I was glad that I choose the Germanoff villa. Everything was wonderful and I had a great time. 
The host was so polite and helpfull with everything that I was amazed. 
I was on the roof and the view towards the lake was breath taking. 
I definetly recommend it ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Amazing, wonderful and peacfully

We stayed as a couple, in August 2018. I recommend it wholeheartedly, especially if you want to surprise your girlfriend with a romantic stay. 
We stayed for only one night, but the owners were willing to extend special offer for a longer stay (I would take it if I could, but I needed to get back to work). 
We stayed in the large apartment, with the piano. It is spacious, with a large terrace for relaxing, that overlooks city center and the lake. 
Location is superb, your are in the center of it all, but the place is quite.
Parking is a bit problematic, as there are only 2-3 parking spots in front of the villa and the old city streets are rather narrow. But apart from parking, I would fully recommend it.

Villa with a wonderful, romantic view

We felt in this apartment really like in a  home away from home. The owner put lots of heart into renovation of the house and you can feel it. Sunset and sunrise views over the lake are to die for.The location is great right in the hear of old town.

Home away from home

I really enjoyed my visit to Villa Germanoff. I booked in the Piano room which is highly recommend and stunning.
The hotel does not serve breakfast in a restaurant but you are only a few minutes away from loads of nice restaurants by the lake front. The owner provides nice breakfast croissants too.
The hotel also offers a great laundry service (1 Euro per item ).

Fantastic location and room

The place is comfortable, easy, simple. Not much luxury, but not this is the point.
The view from the room is amazing. (balcony) At morning, you can hear the lake as if it would be the sound of the sea. :) There is free small packaged croissant, coffee and tea with kettle every day in the rooms. The bed is comfortable and big. The bathroom is simple and meets the goal. There is not much parking place front of the Villa, it was a little trouble to park the cars, but we managed it finally. Otherwise, the mood of the little streets in the old town....  it is worth every difficulty. :)
The lake and the shops are 10 minutes walk away, as well as the most popular view and church from the city. (Church of St. John at Kaneo) Church of St. Sophia is also 1 minute far away. 
I am totally recommended the place if you're going to the beauty of the place, not for luxury accommodation. it was more important for us to be at a good price and not have to prepay for it. :) :)

Nice place, with amazing view to the lake!

We probably didn’t read the description very carefully but we were expecting a 4* hotel and it’s more like a 2* pension. Except that explains the cheap price! We had booked for 5 and booking.com gave us the piano room. When we arrived we found that was for max 4 and we had to pay 30% more for another room. It wasn’t really a big deal for us, but worth reconfirming if you are a larger group. The rooms were basic but clean & warm and the view from the piano room was lovely. The balcony would have been wonderful in summer. The location was very good for walking around Ohrid. 

Guest house, not hotel, but it’s nice

We stayed at Villa Germanoff for 3 nights as part of a bike tour through Macedonia and Albania. We selected Villa Germanoff since it appeared to be the best lodging that Ohrid had to offer. That likely is the case, but Villa Germanoff is not the 4 star accommodations that we were hoping for. Much more charming than the more modern hotels along the lake outside of Ohrid's old town, but still kind of a budget feel. Decent view of the lake from the Piano Room, where we stayed, but there's another room on the next floor up that likely has an even better view.

Good Location, Definitely More of a Budget Feel

We stayed at a big room had a balcony with a view but except the beautiful Ohrid lake view there was nothing as seen in the pictures. Our bed was very uncomfortable and squeaky. The fridge was old and small, wooden furnitures had dusts on them. Connection between landlords was very weak and problematic. Because when we asked for anything, they were making excuses instead of trying to solve problems. If we had seen the old comments about the ongoing problems earlier, we wouldn't have chosen this place. Not recommend.

Disappointment

I've booked a two rooms apartment for two nights in mid-June in this guest house thru bk.com more than six months in advance. It turned out that the guest house staff cancelled my booking just one week before my arrival and their sole reason was they had overbooked the rooms! What irresponsible vl Germanoff staff! Fortunately with the help of bk.com I managed to book vl nina, a similar if not superior accommodation just behind vl Germanoff a few days before my arrival. Really want to thank bk.com and vl nina again for their effort.
