What better place to spend time than this laid-back family-run establishment on one of the best beaches on Earth. La Libertad is a gorgeous black sand beach. This stretch of beach is great for swimming. Not rocky, but the current can be strong so be careful. The rooms at Sol Bohemio are basic. There is A/C. The food is good, although not spa food so if you are picky about your diet you may feel limited by the choices for an extended stay. However, if you're ok with many ways of eating eggs, grilled chicken and fish, rice and beans, etc. you'll be fine! The beach is the main attraction here. The staff and family vibes of Sol Bohemio make it what it is: a wonderful place to call home for however long you stay. Both times, I've stayed here for over a week and had a wonderful relaxing time. You can get a shuttle to/from the airport. Ask Godo, the owner, to arrange tours for you to see more of El Salvador. One of the best places I've ever stayed no matter what the budget!

I've been to Sol Bohemio twice for extended stays and look forward to returning over and over again. It's a family-owned and run establishment that is clean, safe and consistent. The staff and family are so friendly and since my first visit I've stayed in contact with the owner Godo. He always remembers me when I email! The rooms are simple but comfortable. There is A/C. But what's important is the quality of the experience, which is honestly unparalleled. The beach is perhaps my favorite on earth. Soft black sand and the amazing warm Pacific Ocean are at your door! The parcel of land the hotel sits on is part of a long beach that is incredibly uncrowded. Surfers and local families mostly. You'll be amazed that such a gorgeous beach has only a couple dozen people on it for as far as the eye can see. The food is simple but good. It's not spa food but you'll do fine. The chefs are good, the fish is delicious, the frozens are great (ask for them less sweet "menos azucar" if you to watch your sugar intake) but the beach is what this is all about. We get up, eat breakfast, drink coffee and just veg out, go tanning, swim, eat lunch, nap in a hammock, go back out to the beach, tan some more. You can get a ride to/from the airport for $50. The owners will help you with everything and can also arrange tours of El Salvador, a beautiful and interesting country that is trying its best to improve its international reputation. Go see the volcanic lake. Let Godo suggest anything to you and do it, trust him, he's the man! We love you Sol Bohemio and hope to return soon.

Nice place! Very cheap and confortable! Pool is small but enough to have fun, in front of the beach, attention needs to be improved , easy to get there , we just stayed for the day but was great, recommended!

Awesome helpful staff, very good people! We had a feeling we are visiting good friends, not a hotel.
Hotel is located just on the ocean shore. There is a restaurant just near the beach - comfortable summer house with hammocks, where we spent a lot of time enjoying ocean. Location is far enough from El Tunco, so there is no noise, but you can get to El Tunco anytime by taxi for a 5 bucks.

This was a small family run hotel. There looked to be just 4 rooms, which are okay but are maybe in need of some upgrades. We didn't mind because we were there for the beach. The cost of a room was quite inexpensive, $200 for 3 nights for 3 people.

The property is well maintained and the staff is quite friendly despite us not being able to speak Spanish. There were some hammocks and lounge chairs in addition to the tables and chairs in the restaurant. You have to pay for those if you go just for the day.The view of the ocean is super and beach is easy to access.Everything appeared to be very safe as well, with no problems going on the beach in either the day or night.

There was a small pool which would have been fine to lounge in if they didn't have the algae problem when we were there. 

We didn't eat at the restaurant because we thought the food was a bit over priced. It looked fine from what we saw though. Breakfast was included in the room and was simple but fine. It did take a long time to get but we were not in any hurry so it was no big deal for us.

There is a lack of dinner places in the area which I would say is the only big negative although you could eat dinner on site if you gave them fair warning. We had a car so we took the short drive to El Tunco which has a number of different options.

The beach is amazing so what more can you say?
