Stayed 7 days Cleaning supplies and trash bags needed in kitchen area .   The room was beautiful and   spacious would definitely stay there again .

Security is great at this hotel.  Everything ranging from the room to the remodeled bathroom was excellent.

I was very impressed with the facilities during the surprise hit by hurricane Matthew last week. Though power went out all over town, this hotel's generator kicked in every time and even provided Internet for most of the time. They have a very curious green system where the bathroom lights will go out if there is no motion sensed and consequently one takes a shower in the dark part of the time, but hey, anything to save energy is ok by me. The air conditioning is fantastic and so it the big screen television with all sorts of Spanish and English channels. They have a fully equipped kitchen in the room and you can actually prepare your own meals there, such a money saver. This place is located right in town, which was convenient for me since I was there on a business trip. However, I did not exactly feel like I could just go outside and walk down the street safely. Maybe I was being paranoid, but San Pedro de Macoris is not your typical tourist town. After 7:00 pm which is when it got dark it was totally dark outside with barely any lights in the court yard. Perhaps that's another one of their energy saving strategies. All in all a great hotel if you have to stay in town, such an escape from the oppressing heat in that place.

Felt safe during Hurricane Matthew

Stayed there 4 to 5 times ..always very nice .the rooms are clean pretty large and have a kitchen.they have cable 32" flat screen tv,queen or may be king size bed ac and hot water .modern decor.very close to the town center.

What I like was the convenience to any market or roads

The furnishings in our room were very modern.  The bed and couch were comfortable and the bathroom was large.  The room included a kitchen area that was furnished with a stove, sink, refrigerator, toaster, waffle maker, microwave, blender, plates, and various utensils.The A/C was either on or off.  The temperature could not be adjusted.  However, it worked well which is a huge plus in San Pedro.  Many buildings there do not even have A/C.The hotel had a gated entrance and 24-hour security.  The room included a locking cabinet for personal items.The lady who cleaned our room was very hard-working and did a great job every day.The hotel does not provide breakfast but we discovered a very nice local bakery less than one block down the street.The warmth of the hot water supply varied greatly from day to day.  Some days it was very hot but on other days it was warm at best.  Also, the Wi-Fi was not very fast or reliable.

Modern and comfortable

I have used this hotel 3 times now being in 3 different rooms. In the outside of the hotel looks quite different than what you will get on the inside. The rooms are pretty nice and spacious. The bathrooms are very nice and stylish. Only issue I had was the bathroom this time around flooded with water when I would take a shower. The bathroom is open format with a little glass shield between the shower and the other bathroom areas. Literally water was all over the place. They need to fix this issue and everything will be perfect.
