75 reviewsSituated a 20 mins or so bus ride from town centre, this hostel has a lovely location next to a park. Beds are comfy; rooms, wc & washing facilities are clean. Has a kitchen but utensils, cutlery & crockery etc require a refundable deposit of 100Kr. Mainly family orientated, this place is not recommended for livewire globetrotting revellers. The staff are friendly & helpful. The breakfast items on offer are diverse & varied. They even had edible types of insects asides from a beautiful cold meat & cheese selection alongside the usual breakfast staples. I visited when they had multiple groups of Danish/Dutch/Norwegian/Swedish children residing there for the weekend for the purpose of sports competitions at a nearby sportscentre. As a solo traveller the experience was still pleasant despite being outnumbered by kids (all well-behaved by the way!)- I got to talk to several parents/grandparents/guardians who in some cases had been hostelling for years, and if anything, welcomed a chat more than the few 20-something year old 'travellers', some of whom just moped around, not even acknowledging other residents. Hostelling is a communal lifestyle guys - if you want to stay apart from it go & book a hotel!! The hostel is lovely & I wish everyone working and/or running it every success in the future!
