Very kind and helpful staff, wonderful restaurant and lovely location. The rooms were fairly basic but clean and comfortable with a small outdoor space looking out on a grassy field. The location near the lake was very pleasant but we had a good downpour that evening so didn’t have much chance to take in the views. We ate in the restaurant that evening and the food was really good, best pork chops ever! The staff helped us with arranging a taxi in the morning to the train station and an early breakfast. So helpful! Would have loved another night here to relax.

Love this location and the food!

The hotel is in reality a motel. The room is quite cold without heaters..the staff is kind very kind. The shower is not wonderful but clean. There are flies annoying either in the room either in the restaurant.
The price of restaurant & room is too high for the location, in the middle of nothing far from the village. The view of the lake was nice. The dinner is good, and breakfast quite good but with limited choice.


a  night stop during a trip

We all 4 got "Wiener schnitzel mit gemüse" accompanied by drafted beers. The food was delicious, the staff friendly relaxed and the we really enjoyed the visit. Afterwards we took a walk in the beautiful nature in the area around the lake "Fårup Sø". I don't think it's the last time we have been here 😊

Wonderful spot

Great location. Restaurant was great. Wait staff at restaurant very helpful and polite. Beds were a bit too hard.

Nice place with a beautiful view and good food. Staff is veru friendly

Lovely setting  great staff and terrific food. Not far from all the Viking stones and museum, this is a great place to stay if you want to be in a typical Danish kro. Our room was large and had a view of farmland .  The restaurant had a lake view.

Countryside inn

We came from Legoland in the evening and had dinner in the restaurant. The dinner was very good even if not on a gourmet level. the room was less impressive. It was clean but the furniture and bathroom were a bit tired. In the morning, though, the lack of warm water was a put down. Also, the breakfast was a disappointment, mostly because the buffet was riddled with flies. However, the scenery around the inn is gorgeous.

Cozy but a bit disappointing 

When another establishment failed to honor our reservation we showed up here with no warning. We were warmly greeted and found the accommodation fine. The restaurant serves good food in comfortable rooms with good art. The lake across the road is lovely. We recommend this place. 

Good value

The accommodation was quite basic in a motel-type arrangement. Seemed old-fashioned but everything worked and was clean. We could park outside our room which was handy. Some of the rooms had lake views although ours did not but was still nice and rural.  Restaurant had a great view of the lake and the food in the evening was good. Breakfast was quite limited but I think this was because there were very few other overnight guests - in fact we did not see anyone else, so were perhaps lucky that the hotel had bothered to boil eggs etc on the offchance that we would eat them.
