I stayed in the hotel in February and I am very pleased with the kindness of all staff. The rooms are nice and clean. The food was great. The view from the hotel is amazing. The disco is great. The swimming pool is very nice too. My whole experience there was great! I totally recommend the complex!

Me and my friend had a wonderful stay in this lovely hotel. It's beautifully located on a hill on walking distance to the center of Teinidad. From the room we had a lovely view on the city and the sea.  In the room, everything worked fine, there was enough light and we had no trouble with blackouts or lack of water. In other hotels where we stayed during our visit in Cuba we often had no water or light, or no water in the swimming pool or things like this. Of course it is Cuba and you can't compare with hotels in Europe. In the light of the scare in Cuba I have to say that this hotel is maintained as well as possible, actually it was one of the best during our trip in Cuba. The buffet was good, enough variety (don't forget it's Cuba) and the swimming pool area is reasonably well maintained as well. Staff everywhere has beenvery friendly to us. I definitely recommend this hotel.

We were lucky to spend an unexpected night at this hotel after we left our  first place hotel based on bad conditions. My only regret is that we left to early and didn’t get to truly enjoy the full resort. Dinner was wonderful Christmas buffet, staff attentive and helpful, our room was spacious, comfortable & clean, and resort had beautiful views!! Arrived to sun setting and awoke to gorgeous sunrise with roaming wild horses! Loved it!! 

Its like revisiting a motel from the 60’s. Basic bungalow, old, shabby without chic but its position commands the best views overlooking Trinidad and the sea beyond. That said if you are sleeping only and using b’fast and occasional dinner its buffet style. Not imaginative but plenty of what you perhaps don’t want to eat. Staff are in their personal zone and attend without feeling, if you get my drift. Dispirited is the feel of the joint. They do provide a show every night which is pretty awful, if you are not drinking. Rooms are tres basic, worn, but functional. lighting is dim and lack electrical outlets. No place to hang clothes, so its living out of suitcases. Rustic, maybe. Don’t plan on sleeping in because the pool staff rise with the crows and they are at their liveliest at this revelry hour.
 Buffet style b’fast and dinners part of package. Ample but unimaginative. You wont starve. Staff are on auto pilot,  so move in a unconcerned, bored automaton-style.  We celebrated Xmas eve and it was the liveliest of family affair. Laid a feast out and atmosphere was great with a live cabaret show after. Jolly good performers from Havana.
  The hotel’s proximity to anywhere in Trinidad is pursued on foot or by taxi,all of which are on tap.

We had a perfect time here! Bed is good, room is clean, nice swimming pool. In the weekend a lot of entertainment. The diner is really good for Cuba! Not so much choose by breakfast but it was good! WiFi buy by hour, you can choose by the reception. The housekeeping is really creative! Even a letter in Dutch! Had a amazing time! 

Originally I was going to stay for two nights, but I extended for another four nights, and then another three!  The hotel has a fantastic location overlooking the city and the south coast. The guest accommodation is in "chalets", each with two apartments, widely spaced apart, so it is VERY peaceful. There is a reception, bar and dining room in the central building, opening out on to spacious terraces with great views . The staff are very friendly and helpful. Due to the pandemic, there are medical staff here permanently who check everyones temperature every day. I needed a PCR test to return to Portugal and the medical staff made all the arrangements for me. On most days I only have breakfast at the hotel, which is very good. The one evening meal ( included in the room rate) was simple but adequate. 
I have had a great time in Trinidad and I hope to return, in which cas e I will stay at las Cuevas again.

The resort is at the top of a hill and overlooks the city. The buildings each had two rooms and were surrounded by grassed areas. The room was clean and comfortable and en-suite was conveniently separated into two areas. Dinners were buffets. There was plenty of food but no hot vegetables. There was a good selection of sweets. At breakfast there was plenty of food available but only of average quality.  You certainly don't cme to Cuba for the food!

The room I shared with a friend was on the upper floor of a fashionable hut, well furnished and nicely decorated.The bathroom was definitely comfortable, and I appreciated it after a long day trip, heading the west side of the island.
The restaurant offered a very wide variety of food and the atmosphere was very "active"
with a good service. An excellent mix of international and local specialties.

I was a bit hesitant when I read the reviews of Las Cuevas. I think people forget they are travelling in Cuba and need to lower their sights a little - after all why have you come here? Having said that, we were pleasantly surprised with the cleanliness, rooms and service. Never been ones for buffet dining, so we ate in town each day so can't comment on the restaurant experience. The hotel is at the top of a rather steep hill but we didn't find that an issue. Overall, a pleasant experience.

My tour company first booked me at a resort out by the beach. I rejected that and asked for something nearer/in the city. This hotel had space, but reviews were so-so. I gambled and it was worth it. Friendly staff, clean but not fancy room with a fabulous view. Good breakfast and dinner buffets. Evening featured a nice music/dance show. I am glad I took the chance and stayed here. Would recommend to other travelers and would stay here again.
