Beautiful and modern rooms in center of old town! Very clean and nicely decorated. Also the food in local restaurants is amazing, I highly recommend this place! Thanks for everything and see you soon... ;-)

Beautiful city and perfect accommodation

I'm very puzzled by the negative review posted here.  I'm thinking he may have reviewed the wrong place or somehow ended up in a much older room that was not yet renovated. 

It's true that this is not a hotel, but a converted apartment offering rooms.   The main apartment building itself is nothing special, but it certainly was clean, secure, and sufficient.  You enter the building with a security code.  The location is very central, as it's just steps to the entrance of the old town.  My room had a big window overlooking trees and facing the canal.   I could see the boats moored along the canal boardwalk from my room.  I loved it!  There is also a great little cafe just outside the building, also with free wifi.  

There was a brand new remote controlled AC unit, LCD TV, in room wifi, new refrigerator, great newly renovated bathroom with hair dryer and nice toiletries.  This room looked and felt like a 4 star room in a boutique hotel & had every amenity I could anticipate.

My room was #3 and was really great.  Fresh, clean, and with plenty of pillows & towels.   

There was also a coupon in the room welcome kit (which I ended up using) for a great restaurant in town called "Tromonto".

The apartment owner was also very kind and considerate, having mailed me an item I left behind in the room by mistake.  All at her expense.  It was very appreciated & thoughtful.  The price was also very reasonable.  I would definitely stay here again!

Cozy, comfortable, newly renovated room with canal view & every amenity

Horrible! Dirty and small rooms inside old apartment, inside a dirty, foul-smelling building! Ended up canceling on the spot, as soon as owners' drunk "friend" showed it to us! The building hosts a number of apartments, some of which with fancy names, while the owners of this place did not even bother to put a name on the main entrance - which explained the group of puzzled looking tourists in the street below. When  someone finally showed up (it turned out to be the owners friend, a bit drunk and tipsy), we had a chance to finally see the rooms and I canceled my reservation although I had already paid for the night. The "friend" - who might as well have been the owner for all I know (I would probably do the same if I owned a place like that) - offered something else in another part of town but we were out of there in no time. I am writing this review one day later and I still cannot forget the smell of that place. Do not trust the pictures you see online and some of the reviews you read in other sites! Stay away and save your money!
