La Vela Boutique Hotel

I cannot emphasize enough in words how wonderful La Vela's staff is. Reception staff were always friendly and helpful. Housekeeping were very attentive and made sure we had enough towels, pillows or blankets since we had 2 toddlers with us. The gentlemen at the pool working the bar/pizza pit were phenomenal. I asked the bartender if he could make a passion fruit margarita which isn't on their menu and it was probably the best margarita I had while staying in CR. The other gentlemen working the pizza pit has perfected his craft because we ordered pizza everyday; that is how good the pizza was. Breakfast was your simple eggs, bacon, sausage and toast but very delicious with a touch of CR style. I definitely would not skip out on breakfast. The older gentlemen working during that time was very polite and had a cup of coffee ready for me as I sat down. On my last day of check out the gardener/maintenance worker offered to help take my luggage to the car. Overall staff were very friendly and welcoming which made the experience even better not only for myself but my kids as well.
