Nya is an oasis located in paradise. We had just 3 nights at this wonderful hotel and would love to return in the future. The hotel’s location on the beach but very slightly tucked away in the jungle and a few minutes walk from the village is ideal. The design of the whole hotel is understated and very in keeping with its surroundings, think beautiful wooden furniture with contemporary feel. The on site restaurant was excellent, some of the best food we ate in 3 weeks touring Costa Rica. The atmosphere is chilled and peaceful with only the occasional Howler Monkey breaking the tranquility. The staff were exemplary in their service, efforts to please and most importantly friendliness. We had the good fortune to talk with Nefertiti on a few occasions who gave us lots of suggestions of things to do all of which were excellent and didn’t require a car just the ability to walk and enjoy the wonderful surroundings of Nya

Nya is an oasis of tranquility in paradise

Ecxellent hotel in the middle of lush garden. We had perfect customer service from reception and restaurant. Great pool, and location just enough away from the main road to feel private.
Breakfast was delicious! 
We did yoga, went surfing and hiked to a nearby waterfall.

Excellent experience

We love this place and brought along my mother-in-law this time. We have stayed here more times than we can recall: @ 5 or 6.
Surrounded by jungle; daily seeing monkeys playing directly in front of our balcony. Awesome restaurant and attentive staff. Had a wonderful massage. The pool has new, custom lounge furniture, and beverage service. We can’t wait to return to this gem in the jungle!

Where The Jungle Meets The Beach

The free breakfast was 5 star!  delicious, omelettes, healthy smoothies, everything so fresh and creative !  nothing basic about this place. Lesli was our server every morning and also brought us drinks by the pool! Lesli and the other staff make this place so special!

Nya and the best free breakfast you have ever had!

As always the staff was amazing and our room was comfortable and spacious. This year we upgraded to the balcony and it didn't disappoint.  Seeing the monkeys up close was wonderful.  This was my third visit and we are already planning for next year. Each year there are small improvements, this year it was rhe umbrellas and cabanas at the pool. 
Breakfast each day is always delicious. 

Relaxing and romantic 

The restaurant Ubin is simply the best! The chef is a real master! Such a great culinary experience! Don’t miss it!  The wait can be a bit long but it’s more than worth it. 
The hotel is the best place to stay in montezuma, well located, surrounded by nature and trees with monkeys. The only thing that was a bit off was that the reception stuff was a bit confused when asked for the recommendations on the area and places to see with a kid etc. Finally everything was perfect and we saw a lot of things but it would be nice to have some precise recommendations about the area.
The swimming pool is very nice and I also recommend surf lessons suggested by the hotel. 

A real culinary experience! The best restaurant during our 2 week stay in Costa Rica 

Great Hotel.  It was raining up near Lake Arenal and wanted to seek out some sunshine.  Moved to Hotel Nya for a couple of nights.  Rooms were very nice and we ate at the restaurant for breakfast and supper during our stay.  Staff was outstanding.  

Great hotel in a town that’s a little off the beaten path 

This hotel is quite modern for the area. Very eco friendly, and the balcony room my friend and I shared was spacious and had a wonderful view of the gardens. 
We were able to see monkeys, squirrels, agouti, and lizards. The welcome at reception and the welcome drink was 10/10! Unfortunately there were a couple of servers at breakfast and dinner who were legitimately off putting. Slow to attend to not just us, but anyone who entered and seemed sort of annoyed to have to wait on us in general.  I'd of liked a double or queen bed because in all my years of international travel I've never stayed in a twin bed in a hotel room unless it was a family suite and the bed was for a child.

Overall a nice experience

I liked the fast efficient room AC, the restaurant food, and the location just a short walk from town and from the beach. Did not like the somewhat fussy and pretentious atmosphere, the barrenness of the rooms (no decor at all) and the complete lack of ventilation in the bathrooms (everything took forever to dry). On 2 different nights we were disturbed by loud banging and very loud conversation from above and next door to us, which seemed to be coming from employees rather than other guests. Worst of all, on 2 of the 3 days of my stay, I lacked hot water and couldn't shower except for a freezing cold one... my reporting of this issue to Reception staff was met by, first, a lie (which I didn't realize until a 2nd staff member volunteered the information that what I had been told was untrue), next, skepticism ("we checked your water later in the afternoon, and it was fine"), and worst of all, cold, bland indifference from a fellow identified as the manager. I did ask for some type of compensation and was told I would receive a small discount on the room but "it might take a while." It isn't the money; ANY expression of care and concern would have done it for me. I can't recommend this place and would never return.

Some positives, but left with quite a negative impression

What an incredible gem in Montezuma. The property is surrounded by dense jungle with resident monkeys and other wildlife. The rooms are private and well appointed with a courtyard for wildlife spotting. Each night we received a delicious surprise from the Chef.  Breakfast is included and it’s fantastic. The best part is their staff and their dedication to making our visit fantastic. I would highly recommend Nya!!
