This was one of the cheapest places I stayed during my 5 w Costa Rica Travel. And compared to other more expensiv places this was very good value for that little money. Some rooms are really spacious and come with small kitchens. It is clean and even have WiFi. Not sure if this is in all of the rooms. A good restaurant is just steps away where you also get good breakfasts on advance reservation. Opposite Mirian's is a small Supermarket. They arrange Tours and Taxis. 

Good, clean, inexpensive place in the center of Drake Bay

This place is good for the price - very basic and no frills, but you get what you pay for . A bit humid and damp but that’s the area . We liked that there was a kitchen area with good facilities . Very nice staff run this place .

Good spot for Drake Bay

The staff were very accommodating, going the extra mile to assist us. Our room was much bigger than expected (having 2 doubles and 2 singles within it) and was equipped with a couple of fans and air-con, there was also a kitchenette and private bathroom, with a decent hot shower. Mosquito nets hung over the bed, but thankfully we had no need to use them. 

It is located only about 700m away from the main beach where boats dock and about 300m from another entry onto a more secluded beach. Plus there are a few decent restaurants within walking distance.
A 'private' porch with a hammock is an excellent touch and also provides an area to dry clothes.
Breakfast was convenient and could be a limited (4) selection of traditional options We were able to book to have an early breakfast the night before, which was served fairly promptly with varying degrees of success in terms of the correct order.

My only recommendation would be that the restaurant get a new playlist, the music was a little odd.

Excellent Value for Money with Good Facilities!

The restaurant is the best so far out of 6 places weve tried, great flavor, gourmet size, but really delicious and worth the visit. Most places are closed for lunch, this place was open, had Ice cold beers in chilled mugs, Peruvian Ceviche was great, other 3 plates we tried were equally delish.

Did not stay, just ate at the restaurant

Watch out for Benjamin Hernandez (management). He is arrogant and condescending and will pressure you into paying for things under the table. 

He would not provide change for 10,000 ($20) insisting we pay with credit card for a $3 drink. Said, "10,000 ($20) is a lot in Costa Rica". (Meals at the restaurant are $10)

We were charged 13% on our booking made through booking.com. He would not provide a sales receipt saying, "There's no sales receipts in Drake, or police, or rule of law." Every other place we visited provided sales receipts.

The property is noisy. It is on the main road with many passing cars and motorcycles. It is  across the road from the scrap metal yard - with workers sorting scrap early in the morning. The restaurant on site plays loud music all day. 

Try Pacheco instead - for a few extra dollars you will have excellent hosts, and an ocean view. They have great tours as well.

Will Not Return

We booked a 3 night stay in Mirians Place and had one of the cabins, which has been very recently renovated. It had a fridge which was a bonus and a lovely bathroom with great air con and a lovely balcony. 
The price per room per night is very reasonable and she was a great host and arranged anything we required. 

Would thoroughly recommend.
