I had a great time in Fernweh Photography Hostel: this place is amazing, it’s interior is so beautifully designed, with so much love. The same love you get from the staff and the owners, that not only provide you with great advice but also give so much harmony and life to this absolute unique hostel. Nice vibe, good coffee+food & clean facilities included! 

Absolute unique hostel! 

My partner and I stayed here for two nights. The hostel is in a great location to see the real Bogota. Staff are extremely helpful and friendly and are able to cater to all requests. The owner is also on site to offer help and tips. We stayed in a private double room that had the most amazing view. The common space is decorated with stunning pictures taken from  all around the world making it a very interesting space to relax. If you are looking for a quiet space in a great location with both lovely people and food you must stay here. 

Short Stay in Bogota 

I visited this hostel with my son and grandson; so we were both the oldest (74) and youngest (12) guests.  I've never stayed at a hostel before, and thoroughly enjoyed the experience.  The other guests were a fascinating mix of travelers, mostly in their 20's.  The accommodations were perfect and clean, and the staff uniformly friendly and helpful.  And the location is in the best part of town to discover the real Bogota, with many great restaurants within a couple of blocks.  The cab driver spent the whole trip from the airport warning me of how dangerous the Candelaria area is.  I think his information is outdated, because we took the normal precautions and nothing even remotely scary happened.  The streets are well lit and well policed.  Highly recommended.

Wonderful intergenerational experience. Great place!

I arrived in Bogota from Europe and needed a few days to relax. This hostel is perfect for this. It's quiet, located in a safe and interesting neighbourhood and the staff is great! I'd definitely recommend staying there.

Perfect stay

I had the idea of ​​staying a single day in the hostel but I started to postpone together with my friends with whom I was traveling the time I would stay in the hostel.  It was one of the best experiences being in Colombia.  They treated us not as in a hostel but as in a family.  all the people who work in the hostel are amazing, and I think it influences a lot the personality and the way of being of andy and angelika.  the food is delicious and the hostel remains completely clean all the time.

staying at the hostel is a dream

Stayed alone here for two nights - one in a double room and one in a dorm. Both options were a little tired and could have done with a bit of modernising (only since the price is more than elsewhere).
That said, the staff were sensational - I arrived at an unacceptably early hour and yet was made to feel so welcome and safe by Thomas. Next morning I was given a brilliant overview of Bogota by Jessica who told me what to do in my one day in the city. The chef and cleaners work tirelessly - breakfast was brilliant and the coffee exceptional.
Very safe option in La Candelaria.

A little tired but a good option (great staff)

The rooms were clean, the staff were friendly. the location was perfect! The food that I bought at the hostel was great but I felt it was expensive. I had an okay experience so not sure if I would visit again!
