Xinxiang Hotel

The local says this is the best hotel in Xinxiang.
Room was large and comfortable, good air-con, free wifi and clean. But the hotel is old, especially the bathroom, carpets and corridors. Staff are nice. Some noise from the streets at night (I stayed at 5/F) but quiet after ~10 pm. Located at the central, old xinxiang district. Local shops and western fast food restaurants nearby.

The location is good,it's in the downtown center of xinxiang where you can enjoy shopping and nice Chinese food,the breakfast is super,facilities are not too bad,but during the Chinese New Year(Feb5-Feb20th)the gym is closed,this really sucks. They send us a special nice Chinese gift for Chinese New Year when we check out,also they update our room for free which is nice and we will book it again next year when we come back to see our parents from Switzerland.

If you're brave enough to stay in Xinxiang rather than commute from Zhengzhou (1.5 hour drive), the Xinxiang Hotel is your best option.  Clean, safe, and relatively comfortable is the best description I can give.  While you can't expect a 5-star experience, the service is excellent and they give special attention to the "lao wai" since they don't see too many of us here.  Have stayed here multiple times and have no complaints.

Best in Xinxiang but old hotel

Nice hotel

Best Option in Xinxiang

The hotel was great, large, very helpfull staff. Some of the staff can't speak english. But, they will call the other staff that speak and understand english. So very helpfull.

The food was great. Many variations for food. Chinese, western, they have it all. The beanmilk taste good. I like that.

The room was great. Very large room. They gave you fruit complimentary in each room, which is lovely.
The downside was, I got room with bad smell, like smoking room smell. Very bad. My nose was hurt. I stayed in my moms room, and back to my room just for sleep. Sothat, I didn't have to smell that smoke-smell. When booked the room, I already asked for the Non-smoking room. 

I think it's their local people habit, smoking everywhere, include in AC room. While i was there, many people smoking inside the lobby, in the hallway of our room, litterally EVERYWHERE. No matter if it is an AC room.

I didn't complaint tho, because i didn't want to make it complicated. I can sleep well, and I only stay at hotel at night because I went all day.

Overall, the hotel was great, staff was nice, kind, very helpfull. I think it will be much better if you can speak chinese a little bit. Make communication easier. (or they should learn english, because english is global language anyway)
