I visited the hostel in August, we were offered a free pick up from the Xi’an station- which was a nice touch. The hostel itself is right by the city walls- amazing location. Initially we had booked a dorm, however, the smell was too much for me to handle. Perhaps I am just a fussy traveller. We then paid to be upgraded to a private room, which was amazing! It was similar to a hotel room! We had a private shower, slippers and toothbrush/toothpaste. For the amount we paid extra- it was definitely worth it! I would stay again. There’s also a great happy hour in the evenings with strong drinks available! I initially booked this hostel because I read reviews about all night parties! We were in a room downstairs and slept perfectly well- there was no disruption or noise. There is an underground bar (definitely recommend a visit) but it mainly attracts expats and locals. I would advise going to the food court next door for some good cheap food! All in all, excellent stay!

Travelling visit to the hotel

We firstly choose this hostel by the price. It have a low price, especially if compared to other hotels in the region.
Even though, the price is very low, the staff was AMAZING, super friendly, most of them speak English (which is a SUPER plus in China). 
We booked a individual room for me and my husband, and it was comfortable, the shower was good, and a good a/c.
The hostel is super cozy, and such a good environment! I love the decoration that is a mix of chinese with western!
It’s SUPER close to the City Wall, that is a good place to see the city from above, and take some nice pictures (we recommend to go on the afternoon/evening).
They also have a “bar” and the matcha was really good! 
We booked the Terracotta Warriors tour with them, and we don’t regret. The tour guide speak English and she was very helpful with some other things we wanted to do in the city!
If we comeback to Xian, we will definitely stay at this hostel again!

Simple, nice and very friendly!

Although we did not sleep in this hostel, we had lovely breakfast over here every morning. The staff were happy to tell us all about Xi'an and they've got delicious chicken as well! The bar downstairs is worth visiting.

Friendly staff and nice food

We spent 2 nights in the hostel but we wish it would be more: the hostel has everything a traveller (in group or by yourself) can wish: a lot of young people all over the world, WiFi service, many bathrooms, water refill tank...
From the first moment the staff was aimed to help us and they gave us tips regarding our trip.
The rooms are clean, as well as the bathrooms which are well equipped; hair dryer, little towels...
The sheets were clean and the beds very comfortable.
They also have a bar where you can have lunch/dinner apart from very cheap and tasty cocktails . We just enjoy one night there which was Karaoke night and we have had a very good time! But I think they have different plans for every night.
There is another bar attached to the hostel with very good vibes and live music, they even sang Spanish songs for us.

Best quality price relation

This is one of the still going strong old style hostels in China. I really like to come here, as it has a perfect location (easy access to the center and public transportations), friendly english speaking staff, very clean rooms, a kitchen, relax-areas, lots of information and a nice bar downstairs.
The area around (along the south walls of the city) is slowly expanded with some nice bars. Outside it is still quiet, it is not a bar-street area, but you can find some nice niches. 
Under the hostel is also a very long running bar (ParkQin) that has a unique mix of Chinese and Tourist customers.

I take a single room with bathroom, not is the season this is very cheap.

Very good old style hostel

These hostel are good location and clean room .Staffs are very welcome and can speak in English. In first day, the window is shading and loudly noisy start 11 pm to until 2 am . I told the reception how can I change the room .The girl told me, can’t change the room and hostel will be pay the earplug. I did not anything still when I was check out . 
This hostel are really good and food are cheap . They pill the hot water for free and wifi services. But nights are really noisy.

Noisy until midnight

The location was good,the rooms were clean,hot water in showers,beds comfortable enough.All the basics that you would need and require when travelling.There was one big NO.The level of noise and disruption at night time (until midnight the least)every night was unbearable.People drinking,smoking,shouting,guitar playing in the common area right at your door plus the pub operating until 23.30.I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND IT FOR A FAMILY WITH KIDS OR SOMEONE WHO AFTER A BUSY DAY WANTS TO GET A GOOD SLEEP.
Staff did not take my complaint seriously in fact there was no action taken to keep the place in a decent order.

NOISE AT NIGHT

Arrived at about midnight on a Sunday. Firstly, it was extremely busy so noise is to be expected, but it really was just too much. We couldn't do anything other than sit and drink; it was too loud to even shout a conversation. I think there was a live band in the go, so that probably explains things. Still, it was deafening. 

Secondly, and most notable to me, was a big sign above the bar which said, "50% price for expats!". This turned out to only count for expats in Xi'an. I live in Chengdu, not Xi'an, so was excluded from the deal. 

Most reviews seem to say the place is great, so maybe we were just unlucky this time. We left in about 20 minutes. The primary downside for me was the "50% price for expats" lie. For that reason alone, I'll never go there again.
