Hilton Xi'an High-tech Zone

This is the kind of Hilton Experience that has made me a loyal HHonors member (unlike my current stay that I will post when I am done) Jimmy Li helped me and 5 friends check in and his attention to details and making sure that we had the best possible rooms told me that from top down, management cared about their customers. We were suppose to be in Shanghai, but with the COVID concerns there we extended our stay in Xi'an and had no regrets. This generosity at check in was just the start of a memorable stay. Candy in the Executive Lounge while her English wasn't strong was always ready to help. Tina, also from the Executive Lounge was our to to person for anything while in the Lounge. She was quick to help us, checking in and between her and Candys attention our plates where cleaned up, our drinks filled, and called on when a new pizza arrived. Sorry for all the pizza eating...... Our time after long days in Xi'an sight seeing was bookended by this memorable times ni the Executive Lounge at night and in the morning for breakfast. There, Carrie Luck came over and introduced herself and said if we needed anything to let her know. A touch of class indeed. While Carrie wasn't always there, Joy Li was very plesenat, Susan learned we would want salt and pepper and it arrived, as well as our morning coffees and tea without asking. A China Daily newspaper was a nice touch too. The chef Leslie was happy to help us with any request as well. The hotel itself was clean without being sterile. Was friendly without being overbearing. Was a perfect balance of helpful and not overly asking if we needed anything. This is not the best hotel if you want to wander and find out about Xi'an, but we had 4 nights there, and we were doing out log distance tours while there and it was a perfect respite from the travels. (Later we moved into Xi'an downtown for walking Xi'an) Now the stay was great, our room was wonderful and I loved the glass bathroom on the side of the building. Not to everyones tastes certainly, but I loved it with its huge tub and separate shower, and so much room and super comfortable bed. Now, it isn't perfect, since the hot tubs were great looking in the pictures, but most of the jets didn't work. Some of the tubs weren't hot, but the lack of jets and heat make if frustrating. We had a different hot tub every day, and not one had jets that all worked. The pool itself looked better in the pictures and it wasn't a pool that was help coming to stay poolside after a swim. The water you had to walk through to get to the pool was bone chilling cold too. This was a sad spot on disappointment but everything else was so wonderful, and the hot tubs you couldn't at least enjoy to a point. This should be fixed as soon as possible because so many other things were spot on!
