Westlake 7 Service Apartment Xihu

Regarding finding the place: apartments are generally harder to find than hotels, but tend to be bigger and have laundry/kitchen when comparing to hotel rooms. So, we booked the place expecting that it would be a little harder to find. The place is situated in Eastern Golden Tower or (Dongfang Jingzuo) which is probably better known to taxi drivers than Yuewang Road. If you have both of these names (in Chinese) printed then it shouldn't be difficult to find. There are multiple serviced hotels in the 2 towers. This one is in the building on the right. The reception is in room 726. You need to let the lobby know you are going to 726, as a key access is need for elevator. The location of the hotel is very good. It's about 15 min walking distance to West Lake, not far from the music fountain. It's easy to get a taxi here. The rooms are a decent size. Our room had 2 double beds and a futon. The kitchen has no utensil, not really equipped to cook. The washing machine is actually washing/drying in one. I think this differs by apartment. It takes 3 hours to wash and dry, and it's very loud and vibrates. But it gets the job done, which is pretty handy. The price of the apartment is very good, we paid about $50/night. I'd recommend this place.
